I'm starting to see in hydro or soil the hard part is dialing in the right nutes. I'm understanding more why all the good soil or hydro growers all have there special recipe for there soil or hydro systems. Still learning on how to feed them correctly. I have to get better so I can start using better seeds. Growing is a little addicting. Keep trying to find ways to go in with the lights off. Flipped to 12/12 and that cut out 6 hours of light I was using watching them grow lol. But now at least I got 6 hrs back I gave up at the start of the grow. lol Thanks guys for all of the support. Some days I need it a lot more then others. Sorry for rambling.

no sir...stretching decreases the amount of nodes you'll have and often times from what ive seen the nodes you do have will get airy buds. but stretching means the plant is trying desperately to reach the light which indicates a lack of light and u should know light equals more bud+bud density. so stretching is always bad. hope this helps

Thanks for the info. This hole grow they are going to stretch because my light isn't fully adjustable. Was thinking about scrapping them and doing the light correctly and start over. Don't want to waste another 2 months on flowering if it is nothing but a waste of time.

they really didnt seem to be stretching too much at all based on the latest pics. once you have vegged em to about a foot most people start 12/12 then. but in the end its your call. picture update?

Yes sir, end of the first week of flower. I'm hoping the 3 tall plants are male so I can throw them out and lower the light again. Glad you think they look healthy, i'm always telling myself they need more of something.

Has anyone tried the CMH lights for flowering? http://advancedtechlighting.com/cdmed18.htm
Yep, I have one of the Philips CMH's. Its the 250w, 4000k temp. It works great. It's one of my side projects, you can see in my pic album or journal. Been growing great, seems to have a lil less stretch then the HPS...and if you run it in an open hood, you get some UVB on the plants too, which is supposed to help increase thc output in trichomes. Based on the fact that equatorial sativas typically have higher thc content, equitor = high uvb. Anyhow, biggest they come is 400w...and they run on HPS ballasts. Got my 250 for about $60.

Dude your plants at week three is KILLING me, I just started a first time grow, my plants will be at 3es weeks as of tomorrow, they are still only at the 3rd set of leaves and actually smaller than your plants are at week 2! Yours look like they are loving the ebb and flow. I will start a new thread with my plants now having seen this to try and get some help and see why they are growing so damn slow, I bought a good strain too so its not the genetics. Good luck man looks like you could pull this off!
