first time grow, what to expect? height???

hello i am currently on my first grow and had a few queries.

I am only growing one plant which is the sour secret from DNA genetics.

i am using biobizz all mix soil, biobizz organic nutrients, mylar and one 6 inch rotating fan, 250 watt metal halide/hps. (the most basic of basics i know but im poor and i like to smoke)

Switched to flowering at around 35 days from popping seed, was 21 inches from soil to tip ( i topped at 7th node). Since i flipped it to flowering on 12/12 cycle it has shot up at a crazy rate. around 15 inches in a little over 10 days. I have had a little problem with getting a little burn from the light but sorted it out by buying some yoyo hangers which has stopped the problem.

I am wondering what effects my grow room ( a bit of a cupboard) will have on my plant? it literally is just a cupboard with mylar on all 4 sides, 6 inch fan and a light with good soil and nutrients. the cupboard has pretty good ventilation and my house is on a thermostat so always maintains the same heat. smell isnt an issue as my flat mate is an avid smoker aswell. What can i do to maybe help the grow without breaking the bank?

Also i am starting to get slightly worried about the height of the plant, one of the main reasons i bought the sour secret was due to the fact it maybe wasnt the best yielder but was great smoke and that it also wasnt the largest plant ( i believe its 70/30 indica dominent). How much taller will this plant grow? the space in the cupboard is around 2 meters in height, 1 meter wide and 1 meter deep.

Also its in roughly a 17 litre pot.

hi, as a suggestion get yourself a little temp measurer that does rh (humidity) for the sake of 10 pounds or so well worth it, as you can go through veg with one rh yet when in flower you might need to reduce it, which is also what extractor fans help with, ideally you need to extract air to bring good fresh in, plants love it!! as for your stretch ive never grown yours but youll proberly be over the main part maybe another week if height gets a problem you can always tie the top arching over to reduce burn, good luck

I feel your pain re stretch! My White Russian grows stretch beyond belief. I have learned with that strain to veg for 20 days max. All my plants reach close to 5 feet and sometimes more. I have tried different things to slow stretch like closer temp swings, more side lighting, etc. i think if height is an issue than scrog or lst is the answer. But im still learning lol.

I think you'll be OK as far as height/ width.
I did one plant last year in a 2 foot square by 4 foot tall, LOTS of LST during veg, and continuing into the third week of flower, in a 5 gallon pot, with 30 days veg, and total height after 9-10 weeks flowering was under 4 feet.

i was fearing i think but for such a basic grow, no ventilation atall, just a cupboard with mylar, a light, a fan and decent nutes its grown to over 38 inches and only 3 1/2 into flowering another 5 to go! does it look healthy?
