First Time Grower - Results Discussion and Seeking Guru Comments

Beginners luck!!!

OK so I'm happy I waited on the NLs and nuted them on day 45. They went from 40% milky with amber here and there to 50-60% milky with noticeable amber literally over night. This was the first feed without any N so I'm expecting them to burn up quick having not had any since 8 days ago. The feeding they got last night was a full dose with no run off allowed to form. I use organic/synthetic nute program in PRO-Mix so I'm thinking 3 good flushes and they're done. That's about a 7-9 day to flush by my watering schedule.

Got this the Purple Haze from a local guy. It's an N monster. Has anyone else grow it before and had to deal with it bitchin about more N?

Mother of Berry also known as MOB and MOAB or Money Ova Bitches or Money on a Branch is a local strain and if you like berry strains then this one is tops. It is known to be a 45 day bloom from 12/12 to harvest.

The Cotton Candy was from Attitude and I don't know anything about it cept for some reviews. Anyone?

I'll take that as a compliment then friend! Lot's of planning and research for over a year before execution makes a big difference.

I already have a post in harvesting and curing but here's my newbie update. This is the first plant harvested from my "first grow". I'm still a newb too and could use all the advice I can get.

Harvested on day 51... 9 day flush... actually, 9 days with just pH water with some sugar and a little super thrive with 20% runoff... 90% cloudy in most places and 5-10% amber every other place... still some clear trichs left here and there.

3 hours to trim main colas. All undergrowth was left on the plant which was pushed to the side under the HPS to finish up for a few more days.

Here's some pics.

Estimate what's hanging is approx. 3+ OZ once dried.


The victim's remains... there's about another 1-2 OZ left on the plant while it finishes up under the HPS.


Happy to discuss with the pros and the newbs... advice? questions?

Chocolop still going... day 58 with about 10 days left.

Cycle #1 - Day 48 for Cotton Candy, Purple Haze and Mother of Berry = Harvest expected in 2-3 weeks.

Cycle #3 - Day 14 for OG Kush, Kush n' Cheese and LA Chocolat = Harvest on 6-7 weeks.

Anyone got any strain suggestions? I'm late on cycle 4

Most excellent! That looks like a very clean setup! I can appreciate the work you've put into it.

One thing I noticed right off the bat was that particular A/C unit will vent unfiltered grow room air out of the exhaust. The air intake is at the bottom of the unit and a fan blows air up to both coils which are leaned together at the top, forming an upside down V. 1/2 of the air goes through the condenser coil and is blown out the window and the other 1/2 goes through the evap coil and cools the room. A unit that has both an intake and exhaust hose will cool much better overall and won't vent unfiltered air outside.
