First time grower with a couple of questions...

here's my suggestion: dont' cut anything else off her. let her grow naturally and concentrate on pH, EC, temp, humidity, etc.

i only cut mine once. when they are done.
I am doing a "Scrog" grow though, so I need them to bush out so I can stretch sideways in the screen. Most of what I've seen says to top them twice early on. The other plant (BBxWW) I topped exploded in new growth and I've just topped it again for the second time. It's just that Fruit Punch plant that still has no new growth where I topped it a week ago, and seems like it's really lagging behind. I know they're different strains, but it was ahead before topping. I know you already said not to cut it anymore, but I just keep staring at the spot where I cut it and kind of freaking out a little. Lol. I want her to split and make some new tops!

aren't the root temps supposed to be below 71deg f??, over that and rot can start. You have them black wrapped, try a sheet of white cut to fit over the lid and around the buckets. That will reflect the light back rather than absorbing it and lower the temp inside a few degrees

That's a good idea. Thanks! I'm definitely going to recover them to reflect the light and drop the temps. I was able to direct some things and now the root temp stays at about 73 deg. I do have some Hydroguard in there to hopefully stop root rot from happening, and I still need to look into what silica might do for me. I Thanks again. The one thing that has me freaked out a little right now is the lack of new growth where I topped the FP plant. It's been a week and nothing, while the other plant in the pics BBxWW has already split into two tops, grown a lot, and been topped again! Do you have any thoughts on the issue?

Hydroguard will help for sure, just figured you can lower the actual temp with that simple idea.
As to your 2 strains recovering and growing at different rates. I would say one is just more prone to stress than the other and is more likely to be slower to recover. Everything we do to them takes attention away from new growth. Some just are quick to heal and refocus on growing more than others.
Looks like the FP roots are slightly behind the other, the WW cross looks like it has more roots coming off roots, side roots, I'm sure theres a name for them but you get what i mean. Could be just strain difference but try as much as you can to make sure PH conditions are identical.

Thank you again for your time. You're the second person on here to tell me to just leave it alone and wait, so I'm going to do that. It just makes you impatient looking at it! We actually changed the setup yesterday so that it now has a central reservoir that feeds both buckets so that conditions will be the same now.
