Fist LED grow

You definitely know your stuff when it comes to lights bro. You have the distance on the led pretty bang on as well. You kind of have a dilemma with the lights you have, either distance with a less full spectrum, or closer with a better overall pattern and spectrum of light. Wow what a problem to have. Either way you came out smelling like roses on the prices I think. I decided to go ahead and skip the deal on those led's I was looking at. With the new job, I thought I should channel my income into something more productive, like getting myself in a medical state. After that I can drop all the cash I can get my hands on into a set-up that will return some meds in a big way. I really can't say enough about this Skunk#1, it's day 38 and the pistils are already receeding, and the calyx's are swelling like mad. I was scoping the trich's on it with my handheld and there's not alot of clear ones to be seen. They're not turning amber on a large scale or anything, but it seems that most of them are milky to some extent. Pretty happy about that. You'll have to give us some details on the LSD trichs and let us know how they mature for you. Have a good day bro. Peace out.

well I don't like to let the LSD go for too long, if I do I don't even need a couch to get couch lock, I like to take em down when most is milky with no or very few amber tric`s, that often means that I also have 20% clear or so, but it still kick ass, then extra two weeks or so, is not worth the effort in my book, you don't get more weight, and they don't get much more potent, I can have new plant`s done with the stretch and dry smoke at that time

So you run a 50 day cycle or something like that? I don't like alot of amber trich's regardless of strain really, it means they're past their prime. I've never left a girl in flower because the description said it was a 9 week strain, but it was done at 8 or anything, I just let the plant tell me she's done or not. I think you're totally right about people's claims of "they put on so much weight in the last week". I think alot of that is either strain dependent or in someones head for the most part. Plants will do what my Skunk#1 is doing right now, the pistils are pulling into the calyx's which in turn cause them to swell. This doesn't happen in the last week though, it will usually take about 2 weeks for the Skunk#1 to do this, and then she's pretty much done. That's why I'm so excited about this pheno, I know from prior experience that this plant is finishing really quickly, and some even take less than the 2 weeks to accomplish this. This could possibly be a 45 day flowering pheno, who knows, that would make me happy. The way this girl looks like a crusty diamond eye booger in places tells me she won't be lacking in the potency department for finishing so early. If I didn't have some Gage Green gear coming I would re-veg a cutting and clone that girl. Oh well. Lookin good Slip, Peace out.

Im the same, I take a look at the plant and decide, not even looking at trichomes that much any more, but I also know this strain, and yes it mostly take a little less then the 60-65 days the seller claim it take to finish, but I also first begin to count when it actually is flowering, not from 12/12, tho most of my plants is so mature that they have preeflowers and begin right away and most finish like the last batch in 55 days or so, I can let it go to the 60 but after that I don't see any other development then amber trics and more colors on the leaves no more weight or trics, its like its done, you just have to decide it you want it done, mature or over mature (like tomatoes I guess) and two weeks more means 2 less grows in a year, 5 harvest instead of 7 for the same power, seed`s I have plenty of

I'm with you bro, why let a plant just sit wasting energy when you can get her out, and get in another grow or two a year. I want finished meds, and at that point I think they are finished. I you have a plant and all it's doing is putting on amber trich's and getting sick looking, it's been done. I understand sedative effects and all that, but most of the newer info is saying that amber trichs are over due and creating compounds out of the precious thc into ones that can make you nauseous and have other unwanted side effects. I tend to agree thinking that a milky trich is the best kind of trich. as long as I can get that ratio at it's peak I'm pulling those babies. I really enjoy our discussions brother. It sure doesn't take very long for them ladies to fill in. They had just stretched and now they're all plumping up. I like the quickness of that strain, I can see why you like to grow it, besides the cannabanoid profile being what it is. It's a beautiful bunch of ladies you have there Slipon, and they're pleasers I can tell, I know em when I see em. Ha Ha. Take it easy bro, enjoy the time off, you deserve it. Peace out.

your right, don't take long to finish, must love em for that, sure I could probably grow some +4oz Sativa plants but they would also take twice as long as the 7 weeks 2oz plants I grow

found 4 seed`s on the big plant from last round, and 9 from the nice pheno so got the nice genetic`s form that 10 grams a Bud plant from last run

I couldn't agree more bro. That's why I'm such a big fan of Cindy99, she's a sativa buzz that's done at day 52-55. The one I have vegging has 4 main tops from 2 nodes and is a beast in size and dimensions so far, and she's only in a 1 gal pot. I need to Xplant her soon now that I think about it. As long as you get the meds you need it doesn't matter how you get them really, hempy, organic, sativa, or indica. It's all about what siuts you, and makes you happy in the end. I love a really powerful sativa sometimes when I'm out with friends or jamming around my house doing chores, but at night or if my guts are freaking out I want some indica to put that to rest or me to rest. That's bad @$$ you found a couple of gems in the beast. You should have alot of fun growing those babies, what luck. If I were you I would think of a small breeding program consisting of some LSD pollen froma really nice stud, and maybe hit the Beast with it, and see what comes out. If anything it would be a cool bx, and keep you in beans for a while, you know. Just a thought. Take it easy bro, Peace out.

well its actually working quite well for me, second time I grew this strain I super cropped one of em two week`s in to 12/12 as she did stretch a lot (under the 600W HPS)
and she Hermi on me, was`t prepared for it, so got 100ish seed`s from them



have grow em ever since, with good success, all females and no Hermis cept from the last run for some reason ? but then I was prepared, guess its a easy strain to stress in to hermi, so treat em like babies in flowering and keep a eye on the lower Bud points, atleast I know what to do in a few years when Im out agin

tho what I would like to do maybe is to cross em with that skunk 1# that would be great, the nice Pheno with the best skunk 1# I get, kind a like back crossing as the LSD is made from skunk 1 and maza to start with

If you're getting reg seeds of the Skunk#1 you could find the dankest father, and hit the beast with it. If it carries the high cannabanoid profile of the LSD into a more Skunk structure, and finishes as fast as either you'd be golden in my eyes. I would won't some of those seeds bro! I really dig you don't go after fancy cloners or spend high dollar amounts on seeds or any of that crap. You just got some really nice lights for yourself, and run seeds from a previous grow that hermed, and you have some of the best results I've seen on R.I.U. You run a hempy bucket w/o an ec or ph pen, because you actually pay attention to and can read your plants needs. I'm definitely +reppin you bro if it will let me, that's some admirable stuff you're pullin off. Like you said, if you ever get short on seeds you know how to make more pretty easy. lol thanks, I guess Im the same with my growth as Im with most other stuff, don't like to consume or buy stuff that is`t necessary

clones is`t a option to buy for me, atleast I don't know where to buy em, would be from somebody you know, but my own cloning actually works out pretty nice as well, don't like to trow out cuttings when I prune, so always try to make em root and some how this strain is also easy with this, as I just cut it and place it in a cup of normal tap water, did recently add a few drops of H2O2 to help speed up the process and it did for sure, now it only take a week or so to see roots on 90% of em, rest dont make it, but I have no dome either and a RH on them 40% +/-5 as in the rest of my grow/house, why not, safe me a seed and its fun to see em grow in to plants and clones some how grow/yield different ?

I also keep a lit on the Cup and I mist em maybe once a day in the start, but nothing els, did use some root power (kelp) but dont think it go along with the H2O2 that well so stopped when I began with the H2O2 and first use it when I pot em

I have become the same with my soil, why drive 10 miles and pay big bucks and drag the bag home on me bike (did`t even find the last Plagron all mix that good)
when I can buy organic seedling soil at my local plant school for 1/3 of the price, perlite is also hard to come buy so have been useing clay pellets with good success, tho did had that one over watered plant last run, so this time I got some coco agin as I had good success with that before, and its easy to get/carrie in blocks and cheap 3,5$ or so for 11L I just mix in 20% or so to the seedling soil and Im golden with draining/oxygen

and I am experimenting with nutrients, I use the epsom salt for Mg/sulfate and molasses in flowering, but would like to swap all the fancy/expensive nuts out, have good success with guano powder and it do go a long way, but still expensive a nice organic tomato nutrients that suite my water/strain would be nice to find, did actually consider to go back to my first one I choose by chance GH duo and use it in the Lucas formula, so easy and not that expensive and have it for my hempy bucket, but its mineral nutrients so I dunno, but would go nicely with a seedling soil/coco mix Im sure

root`s where growing out the bottom of the Cup so gave her a 1 gallon square pot with some more soil/coco and water with clean water and a few drops of super thrive

about ready for a repotting, dry out in a few day`s might also have sumthing to do with the summer temperatures

grow room temps have been hitting 82-84F and peaked at 86F even tho I only run LED/T5HOs but when ambi temps is at +80 there is not much to do

so fare I see no real ill effect, and to day we (thanks God) have more normal temps, with ambi on 78F so I have around 80F in there

did begin to consider a tent and a move of my grow room to a more cool/shady part of the house, but after thinking it through I found it to be to costly to, much work and to annoying to have it in another room, than the 1 month of summer temp`s, not worth the effort if 84-86F is maximum I can live with it

did how ever find my old 4" ventilation to pull some fresh air in, and at winter time Im sure I even have to keep the heat on in there as well

for some reason they just went crazy on me ? keep trowing out pistils all over, act different then Im used to, if they all swell up nicely in the next two week´s Im in for some killer Bud`s, if not, well then Im in for some flimsy Bud`s ? either I got it just right or the summer heat got to em a bit ?

hempy is getting weight on it, had to use a bamboo stick and some garden string to keep it from falling over

looks great my dear Brother.. i think they got plenty of time yet, to mature fully..think they will put on some nice weight..

I hope so, not any/many brow pistils, so yea atleast two if not 3 weeks, I was just expecting some swollen up now as Im used to with this one, but instead it keep trowing out pistils on top or each other really dense/stacked, so yea if they begin to act as I know em soon they will yield nicely, this one might go past the 60 days mark

wondering if I got 3 Sativa prone Pheno`s on my hand here, have`t even begun to bulk up yet, just keep on trowing out pistils



the hempy bucket really begin to look nice and maybe the only one that is more Indica prone ? as it do put on weight now, seem`s pretty compact/dense

both have 3 week`s left as a minimum

dunno act a bit odd then Im used to, might be a bit PH issues in the start (+7PH) and some days with +84F ? dunno should have two week`s left minimum, might let it go 3 tho depending


Veg plants also look great, got em both repotted and ready for flowering in a few week`s time



hope to replace the big plant in the flowering room asap
