then start to count the weeks when u first see buds appearing not from wen u switch! is that wat u were gettin at? i was confused before i always used to count it from day 1 of switch over then wonder y plants wernt ready wen they said they wud b lol

flowering does not start at 12/12 it starts when the plant is showing signs of sex(pre flowers) regardless of photoperiod if you keep the plants on 18/6 or 24/0 they will start showing sex in 6-8 weeks of vegg.
if there are no flowers and you switch to 12/12 before the plants are sexually mature they are not flowering.
no flowers = not flowering regardless of photoperiod.
if any one thinks it starts when you immediately
switch to 12/12 then they are WRONG.
how can a plant be flowering with no flowers(not possible) ????????

idk but i started counting my flowering time the day i switched to 12/12.. dont know if that was right but thats how i did it..

not sure I understand you.are you saying to start counting weeks of flowering when preflowers 1st show up regardless of photoperiod? if my seedbank says a plant should have a 60 day flowering time, I should harvest 60 days after preflowers appear? that cant be right as I have keep plants in veg for months after preflower appeared.please clarify this for me. thanks

yes thats what i am saying and harvest times will differ for each and everybody as its all down to individuals growing methods and environment.
i can go from seed to harvest with any strain in 12 weeks.
it all depends on the grower and thier methods/environment.
i have grown plants/strains that the suppliers say takes 9-11 weeks flowering(excluding vegg time).
and the jobs done from seed to chop in 12 weeks.

The most common method is to force flower a labeled clone to determine the sex, rather than the incorrect method of forcing the seedling and then reverting it to vegetative growth again.
If you are a seedling grower who does not clone, or a grower who has no seperate vegetative and flowering grow spaces, the easiest method is simply to wait for the preflowers (primordia), and sexual maturity to appear while the seedling is still in vegetative growth. In other words, if you wait until they are 6 to 8 weeks old, most plants will show you their gender without any forcing.
Seedling growers who don't clone are really missing out on the full potency potential of their finished crop whenever they force their seedlings before they've become sexually mature.
