Flowers

The first daffodil has emerged, and bulbs appearing everywhere. I thought I’d got them in a bit late for decent flowers, maybe not.

Update on the Hollyhock.
Measured it yesterday. It's now 13 feet 3 inches tall.
I hope it makes 14 feet.
I've never grown them before and now I know how they grow I reckon I can get them even taller next year, weather permitting.

The tallest hollyhock, as reported in the "Guinness Book of World Records," was 19 feet, 7 inches, grown by George Palmer of West Clandon, Surrey, in 1978

That'll be a challenge lol lol

Enjoy

I grew these for the first time this year. It's called Gazania. It did really good in the front where I never see it but the plants I put in planters on the patio never took off. It's a species from South Africa. I'll grow them again.

I haven't grown it for years now. It liked my sandy soil. Likes the Su.n I think it's flowers stayed closed when it was overcast.
