and have u seen the 9th ward .....it is still gone (not rebuilt) they fixed the historical and rich ppl area but the poor black area is still trashed (i sawl on dateline they only have 1 store in the whole area and it is a guy that went down there to help rebuild the area for ppl .....he used his own money to start a store and laundry place )
Cali and LA are doomed ..........u built up to much to many ppl in a area with very little water (so u pipe it from all around the area) those areas are gone now no water (the snow pack is the lowest has ever been so the big melt off in spring and summer is not coming )
here is the great KICKER .....u have Safe Zones for illegals so they will flock there use up more of the water run down everything faster
Cali is done .......if the weather patterns stay the way they are it is done ....u guys need something like 5 feet of rain just to break even in the water u are missing ....now we can talk about the money ...shit gets messed up that is JOBS .........yah and your state is running out of money u had to use federal help for the last few years
now with the drought u have less field work (the farms have to go smaller do to lack of water ) ....housing market is a bust whole areas they built up just burnt down (insurance ppl are going to drag out paying ppl ).....low rain bad grape crops low amount of wine (and not that good).....low snow amounts bad skiing for resorts......wild lands camping not with the fires
cali was nice for years but to many ppl with weather patterns shifting ...cali is done

Just to be safe, what do you mean by "cali is done". Specifically, what will happen. And, when will it happen. Finally, what should residents of California do now?

if u look at the history of it ........what the design of it is........alot of the water for the big cities are pipped in from outside (they never had the water tables for a large pop locally)
where they are pulling water from is going dry (have a look at the lake lvls /rev lvls in the area) ......for the last 5 years ppl have been trying to make more wells and deeper wells for the farms (fruits nuts and live stock) ...depleting faster lowering the natural water table to the point the veggie in the area can not root access drying the area out more
if cali was smart they would have been building desalinization plants 2 years ago...........pipe out in the ocean pulling water in taken out the salt using it for drinking water/dumping it back into the lakes and rez if they can make enough plants too ....as for the salt they get out of it sell it use it
as for the ppl in cali ............sell your investments move to where the new weather patterns dictate for your taste

plus the ppl factor ......they can speed it up faster or slow it down ......if cali does not get 3 years of above avg rain soon i know a few of the little towns are done they can not keep spending the money they are to bring in water .....crop failure and lower number of live stock means less money as prices increasing

Hmmmm. Income inequality at record levels. Climate change leading to dust bowl drought conditions. When I say that America is living through another Great Depression, I'm talking about conditions as they currently are. Today. Now. Nothing hypothetical about it.
California is but one of many places experiencing serious impacts due to weather and climate change.
California is in for a long haul to get itself straightened out and Mother Nature is not going to be of much help. This will be a drag on the economy for the foreseeable future. This is my read on what @justugh was referring to, but please do correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not going this far with you. I think there's a lot more resilience in OUR system in terms of national food security. Don't forget that much of America is farmland, producing a surplus we sell worldwide. The rest of the planet, not so much.
I think that things will get worse until enough people step forward to demand change. This has happened before in American history so it isn't unprecedented, only in our time. Maybe this time around we'll have the brains to cap the corporate money genie in the bottle and keep it from destroying our political system...
Aaaaaaaand maybe not, but two things are for sure; time WILL tell, and nothing less than our collective future and that of our children is at stake.

look at the crop reports for the last 10 years ......factor in that 15% of corn is automatically ear marked for fuel conversion .....then factor in what u call surplus is actually part of trade agreements we made with those ppl for certain oks (it is not surplus but a demanded payment)
as for the ppl raising up and demanding change ........not going to happen with the elitist in power 1% of the pop with 60% of the money .....they will never allow it to happen it will take a war to force change to remove greed from daily life

if i got it right then only one thing we can do
learn rem and not repeat the same mistakes .......as for 2/3 of the ppl i am sorry i thought that way years ago but using this forum and other places i have figured out they are to fucking dumb or scared too .....they want to protect what little they have not willing to risk it for something better because it never works out for them
right now there are so many possible boom points
i have stopped trying to predict them and fallow them in the media i can access (note our NEWS is nothing but puff news ) shit is bad everywhere but we do not get international news in the common tv feeds they tells some sob story that happend 2 weeks ago .....and those talk shows like nacey grace (She should be shot a a traitor to humanity fucking fear monger)

1 we kill everything mess it all up so bad end of humans ....billion years before next int life on planet
2 the elite win and reverts back to medevil times with info being controlled and working for food (we are almost at that now with techs being suppressed because upsets how they have it)

Reminds me of when I was a little kid in the 70's. My older sister in high school would come home crying cause the world was surely about to end after the imminent nuclear war with Russia. They had to close the schools down a couple of times because the kids were all panicking over this. It's laughable now, but at the time my sister was seriously sobbing with real tears. I was young so was just like WTF? lol. Parents were mostly just like

Doesn't work that way. We need to remove the incentive to start wars and remove the ability to profit from them in order to put a stop to it.

Well let's see. Some here are predicting doomsday a coming and with some emotional concerns of how it will adversely effect our planet and us. I'm singing kumbaya and feeling pretty chill today even on a Monday.
