Epsom supplies Mg and S.
Dolomite is a liming agent and has plenty of Mg available......If amending FFOF all you need is about a good handful (1/2cup) per bag and mix in well.
FFOF and FFHF always seem light on liming agent and Mg in my book.....pH will slip and Mg def's occur regularly.

FF soils tend to carry soil borne pests like fungus gnats.....
I think all soil has gnats in it..... If not it will as soon as you keep it too wet for a day or so....... Dry it out the gnats go away

So I'm using this soil for the first time do you actually have to give it additional fertilizer with this soil or can you use it just by itself? Or what fertilizer works best with this soil?
its a good . it has plenty of food in it for the first couoke weeks i woukd just give it plain water. Roots organis is wayyyyy better and recipe 420 is garbage.

U can go for a month without adding anything, every other watering you can add as a preventing measure 1 teaspoon of calmag and 1 teaspoon of Epson salt to a gallon of water
In my opinion..i would do this as well... im a fox far ocean forest believer hands down but i do get calmag def down the line and i didn't know how to fix theses things would def recommend down the line happens every time for sure..

i have use from start to finish and works nice all the way threw with rain water just cal mag def happens towards the mid/end.....but u live u learn.....

I will have to try the FFHF next time...
I'm here to learn, learn, learn!!:weed:
i would also start with happy frog with seedlings then when older and transplanting use ocean forest for sure... both are very nice just ocean has more organic in it the happy frog is same just dialed back on some things..... good advice...

Epsom and Dolo? Mg overload....Dolo has plenty of available Mg...Adding Epsom straight to the soil isn't a great idea either. Dissolve in water first.

I've grown 4plants with FFOC with a Ceramic Hallide light & I've grown 4plants with FFOC with a Spydr600 LED & I planted directly into 5gal smart pots both times instead of trying to transfer from smaller pots and I haven't had any issues with burn.
I have noticed though that a lot of people who transfer from really small pots seem to be the ones who usually experience this nutrient burn....
Is this just a coincidence??

Yeah im kind of tired of this shit!! What works for people it works and thats it! Bottom line what it works for u it works for u fuck until u see me asking for advice then criticize me but until then shut up man!!
If youre on some stupid shit you deserve to be criticized ..... Sometimes " what works for you" is retarded and doesn't actually work...... People think it does because they have huge egos and everything they do is right.....

Don't believe I criticized you tho..... Was just curious about your freak out
