Nobody will listen they'll just keep buying it to build your own soil would require to much work and research.....which does what? equals personal responsibility. Ive ran fox and I have found there soil and Nute line to be sub par.
Yea the soils are weak , people say they are hot but I've always seen the opposite. For my last run I mixed Forrest, happy frog, light warrior. 5 lbs of Bat guano . Lime...and a few other things that completely slipped my mind, I have them written down somewhere..it's super heavy on nitrogen. But it doesn't burn anything. I had a clone in a gallon of this soil for 2 month's just transplanted a couple days ago but it was really healthy I didn't even feed it. I was surprised
the store i get both are 2 cube foot and naw 20$ not a rip its good stuff... u cant source and make ur own for cheaper than that and have a better outcome i wouldn't think...
They don't make 2 cubic feet ocean Forrest bags.. look at your bag, you're mistaken. For 20 dollars I get 2 bags, it's definitely a rip off . and not worth it.. If you're not mixing all three bags together then it's pretty shitty soil..

the soil is great on its own u dont need to add anything more unless u want over kill and it dose get cal mag def down the line but nothing else wrong with it for me at least.... and u are correct its not 2 it's a 3 cube feet so i figured u getting a bag that price this big something was a miss....

I've never seen a 3 cubic foot bag of forrest. . I highly doubt they make one I need to buy some clonex today I'll ask the hydro shop dude.. where do you buy it at?

Ocean forrest good to veg with for 2 weeks or so.. definitely needs food sooner then later.. you are correct on the cal mag issues it also has buffering issues that's why I add lime to it. You can add more oyster shells if you want help keeping the pH in range.

I'm glad I got this thread popping off, great topic. When I purchased my bag of Ocean Forest I saw SUNSHINE RAINFOREST mix and its NEW but it was more money than the Fox Farm. Has anyone tried this soil????

True! The way i see it, keeping organic soil alive requires the same knowledge as building organic soil. These dudes will be back in a month and still not know how to diagnose deficiencies because they have no idea what amendment does what. FFOC is good soil imo but you pay a bit more vs building it. Should have taken the hard road the first time, would have been downhill from that point on but whatever floats the boat i guess

When you are new to the game you gta start somewhere & I think that for beginners like myself FF products are just as good as any other & a hell of a lot better than some. Once I have a few more grows under my belt I plan on playing around with a few super soil recipes that people have been nice enough to share with me, but for now, I'm gna keep kicking it with the FF line until I get my wings!!

You feel me dawg? lol

Im not sure how to respond to this lol. If it works then it works right? Just make sure you know how to fix it if the microbes die.

Yea, I misspoke earlier, I paid $27.00 but it was for 2 bags, my employee picked it up & the written receipt just said FFOF $27.00 + tax = $29.23 so I just assumed it was for one bag.... That's what I get for ASSuming!!

its at some local grow nursery that happens to be the only place with the cheapest priced 3 cubed bags every were else is 40$

slap me in da face it was an old outdoor weathered bag looked like 3 but is a 1.5 and yes the local shop sell at 18$ its a local nursery
That seems fair for a nursery.
