guys, ive got seeds that are over 10 years old, and they still germinate fine :) only had 1 male out of over 10!!! and they have all been crazy potent!! i think seeds would keep for alot longer than you think, some of my seeds could even be olden than 10 years :) i keep them all, you just never know, one day you might be an old grandpa, and you decide to plant them all in the garden!, i know i will!!

Me too flowie bro, got some real oldies that pop out random dank everytime but most commercial seeds have been stored under a variety of conditions and temps in different locations around the world before they get here. Some will store well, that's why I stored some but commercial seeds definately seem to have poorer germ rates the longer you have them.

An example... If you buy Serious AK47 or White Russian they have been stored for a long time as the breeder, Simon no longer has the original clones he used to produce those seeds so he is not making fresh ones.
(A little birdy tells me Simon has bought out Magus and is working on some new things)

interesting man, i myself have always had my seeds germ, i do the simple paper towel method, and keep it wet, they always seem to sprout, but i do tend to only keep big fat juicy seeds from quality erbs, so this may have an effect... i would love to try a random seed in my tent one day, when i have more time, and no inspections every 3 months, i need valuable time, and i'm lucky to be able to finish all my grows in under 3 months, soo far soo good, been bang on the clock each time....this may be my last grow for this year, i need a break for a while, i been stressin to much...who knows i may change my mind
 
Been there, didn't grow for about 6 months last yr, just kept mums (my house, no inspections). After a while it feels good to grow again. I find it's actually a self esteem builder lol it's hard not to feel good about yourself looking at a bush full of sticky icky.
Yeah bagseed for me will pop everytime but when the breeder has refrigerated it for years, sent it to a bank where it has warmed on the way and possibly been exposed to moisture and then refrigerated again, then posted around the world to you, then stored again... not always a problem, some have probably never had a problem but viability goes down rapidly over time in general under those circumstances.

its more of a test run i want to have a couple of plants ahead of my testers because so if i mess anything up i dont embarrass myself

yeah that would be nice to have growing for sure. from what i have seen though the purple pheno isnt exactly the most common one.
they all look pretty nice though
 
Yeh its supposedely not the keeper but man thats still fucking pretty! Still has a load of resin on her too!
