I think it's possible to develop strong feelings, but the feelings are going to change once you meet in person, for better or worse. But it will be totally different.

I know and met someone in real life from here. We did already party togtether years ago through mutual friends. Dudes a good guy in mybook.
As a friend I would say on here Doc. is one.
Now a cautionary tale. My exgirlfriend met her husband online. There were signs to cut it off but she didn't. Now he just got served divorce papers. He was caught in chris hansen type sting in Florida using her car and phone to solicit a 14 year old for sex. He was going to pick up who he believed was a 14 year old, instead he got a nice pair of handcuffs instead.

Here's the thing, though, (and this is why I don't do online thingy's), both parties get to see each other through rose-tinted glasses while online. Anything that needs to be hidden is easily done, and so the entire internet time is just kind of...an elongated honeymoon period without the physical sex. As far as i'm concerned, I don't know someone until I've met them in person. And frankly, they don't know me, either.

but no I totally agree rainbow you can't really know a person until you hang with them in person. I've talked with a lot of people online and then hung out with them and I was like uhm wtf no thanks ha.

Yea, she had come to me with some issues. Just like here, I offered what I thought was solid advice. She didn't heed it. She ended up realizing that it was not romatic feelings my warning came from but from genuine freindship.
