I lost a best friend last night.
I saw him yesterday & we shot the shit for a while. A really funny/happy/laid back person, always a smile, handshake and a joke.
His wife took him to the ER with the classic heart attack symptoms and he passed away at 52 years of age.

Damn

My Condolences. I regret turning down my brothers' invite for a drink two days before he died. 52 is too young to check out. Did he have kids?

Oh that's just so young:( sorry to hear that. It's must be just so difficult to accept. At least the life he did live was a happy one, take comfort in knowing that.

I had a patient in my chair just a few months back, who gave me quite a scare. I usually review peoples medical histories and I found my patient was not feeling well lately. Then he told me about having experienced chest pain in the past week and shortness of breath. I took his blood pressure and it was extremely high. I got him to emergency as quickly and calmly as I could without letting him getting worked up. He had a quadruple bypass later on that day....He credits me for saving his life. He was only in his 50's as well so I'm very happy to have recognized what was happening and getting him help.

Never ignore the signs, it could save your life if you get treatment fast enough.

Goddamn 52 is too young to go.. That guy should have had many more years ahead of him. Did he lead an unhealthy lifestyle?

You know I could say I'm sorry like everyone else but does it really change anything. Yes I mourn for the loss of another but I find it's better to rejoice in the life we or another had rather to dwell on what has happened.

Keep your head up gwn and my thoughts and prayers will be with you and him.

I'll smoke an extra one for him and my bday today :D
