this is one of the sativas i grew few years back...she took forever to finish and barely had any trichs on her. However,she was pretty strong !!!
Why you run all that power w all those cdl bulbs and not just get a t5 setup or led at that point. Assuming you cant run an HID because potential heat in a closet? I never understood that. I seen one kid running 12 of the 150w cfl's. I would just went w at least T5's at that point if anything.
Whats your reason for that just wondering?
I know a couple people getting some serious results with the AN bases and those aptus additives. Theres a few detailed grows online and the guy has some good videos as well. He shows start to finish final weigh ins and detailed feeding charts. Running sfvog and blue dream runs.
My buddy been running aptus with AN and is getting some premium premium fire from it. The aptus i think is very pricey and im not interested in it, but it def producing some serious results. I was impressed highly.

1. does 400w in cfl seem THAT MUCH TO YOU? would you have grown a better plant with only 400w HPS? ...if so, how? please explain me more. (cfl = much cheaper than LED ....same results)
2. T5' s will never give you that much spectrum as 10 different ''kelvin" CFL will
3, you never understood it maybe because you have never grown such a big plant

Green sand is a slow release form of potassium. Beneficial bacteria and microbes break it down slowly and aid in providing additional potassium uptake when it needs it. I use a very small amount. Its not water soluble and takes awhile to break down so I add it early on during mid veg so by the time flowering comes the microbes will break it down and provide much needed potassium for bloom. Green sand is good stuff. It also helps aerate the medium, I place a thing layer into the bottom portion of my containers when I transplant to the finishing containers. I find it works well for me.
Absolutely a 400w hps will definetely yield and produce better quality flowers then a 400w cfl would. Thats not even something to start an argument over (if thats what you believe so be it). A single 400w led would also do much better also if heat was an issue, which is why I asked. But, If you think its better to use all those cfl bulbs so be it, I was just asking your logic for running all those individual cfl's and not just running a better light. I would assume you couldnt manage the heat in a small area like that so maybe thats why you arent running an HPS or LED's? At end of the day you are still running all that power so it wouldnt make sense to me unless it was for a particular reason which is what I was asking you!

Well from everything I have read says green sand takes a year or so to break down. If your growing in rols then sire add it but I don't believe its doing you any good esp in a few months time
Thats not exactly true. Glauconite green sand is a slow release and isnt water soluble. Thats why you need benes and microbes to break it down. Using enzymes and microbes speeds up the process and turns it into useable source of nutrients. It contains primarily potassium, iron and manesium, but it also contains like 20-30 different trace minerals and helps retain water and promote root growth and overall plant health.
It does not take months to break down to become useable thats simply not true. Maybe if you just added it as a top dress and waited for it to break doen on its own it may take months to become useable but when you are using it in a colonized living medium thats bountiful in benes and microbes it is readily available for uptake after a few weeks. Thas why I add it during veg so by the time flowering comes it will be broken down and useable source of nutrients and minerals. Its very good shit and has been used for centuries. I consider this to be one of my keys to success. I always use it and was put on to it by an old timer who taught me many tips and techniques. It is by far very underrated and I def recommend using it if you grow organics. It has a variety of beneficial properties. Check it out. That info is not correct. And if you have a super soil tlo or rols, or you are making and cooking soil it breaks doen even quicker. The more microbes, benes and enzymes (humic and fulvic acids) the quicker and easier it will be broken down to useable form for uptake by your plants. And I think the benefits I see is in the root growth and root health of my plants. Its very good shit.

I only ask because in the organic forums its essentially an established fact that greensand takes a while to break down, and I presume they'd have a healthier microbial community in their soil than you being as they are the organic growers.
It isnt a quick fix or remedy for any deficiency, it provides long term minerals and nutrients. to fully break down just applying it naturally I think it can take up to 3 years before it becomes depleted. I can't say for sure 100% that it is the main reason I get good results but I use it and I think it definetely aids in root growth and health and also providing the minerals and nutrients as a food source definetely doesnt hurt anything. Its very inexpensive and as said you dont need to use very much of it at all. It isnt just for food source it also aerates medium and helps contain water for your plants as well because it has a high cation capacity. Its just one of the many small tools I use that aid in my rhizopshere quality. Im not gonna argue, never said you need it ai just said that I like it and I use it myself. So be it.
