fuck you

I bet you're still in high school and think your smarter than everyone else because you take ap classes. Let me tell you something, you're not shit. High school doesn't measure shit but who can play the system the best (i.e. who can kiss the most ass). So good for you, you went to class everyday and sucked your teacher's dick....
Let's see how sucking dick ends up for you in the real world. Let me know how getting no pussy and dying alone feels....

but hey at least you did good in high school you can always fall back on that.

But anyway, back to the op. How many more credits do you need?
If it's not that many I'd try to stick it out. If it's enough to require two more semesters I'd just say fuck it, get your ged and get into community college by the time school would be starting next year. That way you don't waste another year with high school bullshit.
lmfao sounds like you had a great high school experience

shoulda done your work faggot

Oh lawdy. I did the bare minimum in high school. Why? I was too busy having the time of my life, didn't do shit for schoolwork. I still made it through easily doing all my work for the day in first period study hall. Most of it is bullshit, true. I didn't do any real work until college, with decent grades, you can transfer to many decent schools. Anyways, no AP classes in highschool for me, I cheated my way through the low level classes. I knew that I would never again be in a position with so little responsibility and capitalized.

I fucked my class's homecoming queen, regularly.

Even if I did, no I couldn't. Highschool grades mean nothing to anybody but college freshmen admissions people.

I try to put things in perspective for someone who obviously needs it, and you jump on me like a crazed orangutang. I doubt you're still in highschool, though it seems that mentally you never grew up.

Alright, please don't spam this thread with posts telling me to not drop out. I'm 18 years old and am attending my 5th year of high school in an attempt to recieve credits in classes because I decided to fuck up my 9th and 10th grade years.... I can't take that back and now the school is telling me I need another year before I graduate! I've been dealing with some really bad depression lately and just feel like giving up. I really am just going to drop out but I was wondering if anyone here could give me some good advise on how not to fall off the face of the earth.... I still want to get my g.e.d. and maybe go to a community college but I'm moving to Vancouver, BC and really just see myself becoming a caregiver.... do you make any money off that?
Yo man there is a lot of people hating on you on this thread.
Don't listen to them
I was in the SAME EXACT situation when I was younger. Its not that I couldn't do the work I just didn't realize how important it was.
I ended up dropping out and getting my GED and starting at a community college.
It was the BEST decision of my life to go to college. For some reason I was motivated. I ended up with a 4.0 all the way through.

Stick with school man. It doesn't matter if you finish with a high school diploma or a GED just do 1 of the 2 and get into a community college.
You will regret it the rest of your life if you don't

Thanks, this helps a lot too. I mean after community college I don't even know what I'd want to do.

It doesn't matter dude you will fall into something once you are there.
I stressed out because I got a 2 year degree before I even knew what I wanted to do and when I got to a 4 year university It just hit me and made so much sense.

You WILL figure out what you want to do its just a matter of time. The trick is getting yourself motivated to do the general education stuff. It almost feels like highschool again for a little while but once you figure it out school becomes enjoyable.

It is really a different and amazing feeling to genuinely enjoy school.
If you're anything like I was in highschool you have dreaded even the thought of school your life and it will be so invigorating when you find yourself start to like it.

Make sure you follow through and get some kind of degree. You don't want to put "G.E.D." as your level of education for every job you ever apply for. I know this sounds dickish, but it's true. And I know this will piss people off but fuck ya.

You need every edge you can get in today's economy. Unless you think you can do something like support yourself on ganj for you whole life, not an easy thing to pull off.

Good luck brahski.

dude i was in the exact same situation in september. Im 18 as well and was facing at least another year in high school. I know EXACTLEY how you feel. Do what I did get your ged. At least its a start that is not hard. I havent taken the next step yet but i plan on going back to a community college this fall. I too faced depression although undiagnosed i was constantley sad and almost hopeless. Getting a high school equvilance will give you a huge boost of pride and confidence that you can accomplish something. I hope my advice is of some use to you. Peace man

Thanks, this helps a lot too. I mean I really think the depression is because I know I'm in such a deep hole that I can't get out of which is HS but I really think I am going to get my ged and go to community college. It's just I don't want to go poor and have nothing to support my girlfriend with. I love that girl more than she could possibly think and to think I couldn't support her is crazy on my mind. But I've heard good financial things about Vancouver.... anyone want to confirm this?

My depression pretty much vanished when I got out of that hole. Sure i get sad every now and then but thats human. Do whats best for you.I hate to say it but dont focus entirely on your lady. She loves you now but i can almost guarantee things wont last half as long as you think they will. By bettering yourself you are making both of your futures bright. She will see that you want to improve and will probaly stay with you a whole lot longer. Support is a lot more then money .....
Do as u wish though im no better than you or older or anything. I wish you luck and hope you find a way, your way.

i was never good in school and im still not. College is gay.

i fucked up in highschool but i look back i beat myself up for not trying. Its easy as fuck bro. Just do the work. But i was getting kicke dout Senior year for failing too many classes so i just took my GED and moved on. I dont care HOW MANY people tell me "you wont get a job without your diploma" BULLSHIT. Thats old news. If your young, have common sense, mannors, and you show interest in whatever it is you want to do..then you can do it.

My teacher even told me "nowadays employers dont care about what schooling you have they just care if you can do the job right" and i believe it 100%. I know alot of successful people that have got their GED or whatnot.

Anyways, finish school. Try and take an Adult School course and gain extra credits while your not in regular school. Its worth it only becuase its good food for the soul and you wont feel as guilty. I went through some of the hardest times in highschool but you cant let shit bring you down. Live your life and fuck anyone else.

find something you want to do and go for it.

this post is coontradicting....but im just high. So stay in school.

Curious, as I have my GED and most test are pretty much the same from what I've found from most people who have also got their GED...

I'm willing to bet you'd get it rather easy if you can do math at least in the basic forms with some multiplying, a little division, and heres the kicker they let you have a calculator. English is just able to read and understand it fluently and fill out paperwork and not be bullshitting that you can read. A little gov and history, science is basic science if you can grow grass you can pass this shit homes. Try taking a pretest and shit http://www.testprepreview.com/ged_practice.htm if you don't need to take the schooling to take the test you can skip it and take the test.

Find out what it would take to become a nursing assistant in Canada in the area you are going, its perfect and you can learn everything you need to learn and maybe move into nursing school if you get it.

Say what you say, if hes moving forward then why judge him for whats behind him long as he hasn't harmed anyone in life and not asking for hand outs why be a hater?
