If it were pie, have your back but cakes is hard...lol literally. Congrats on your sons wedding, personal touch is where it's at. Have some medi done, sounds like you could use it?

I sure could, Hodge! Silly me, 'oh, I can make the cake' HA! I just hope I can pull it off. I've got the cake part down, it's just the decorating that is hard.:wall: I will post pics after the wedding for you Brandon. :razz:As for you DJJ, lol...that would be a funny pic! And Medi, "Fat Bottom Girls Make the Rockin World Go Round!"

.... and remember, store-bought fondant isn't "cheating", it just means you're more "success-oriented."

Ha ha ha! You guys are too funny! Hello Mello. I had the cake down to a chocolate almond butter cream filling, but just found this recipe for salted caramel buttercream. OMG! I am going to test it later. OOOhhhh or maybe one layer of each? No no no, I am just stoned. lol

Sept. 23rd. Daughter and I are flying back Sunday the 18th and coming home the 26th. My son is getting married on the edge of an old growth forest in western PA. I shipped out all of my cake and candy supplies today, so I feel hella relieved. Nothing else to do but pack.

And worry about my girls. A week is a long time to be away from them. And my GR is just decimated. I spent the other day cutting out the lower and inner shit that was dead and dying and with *gasp* bugs! I only left what was sticking out the sides of the cage, and the top kolas. I also got SNS-203 for the white flies. It is also a soil drench, so I did that too, just to be safe. Still saw hella yellow larvae tonight. I am going to spray again tomorrow and the next day and the next. Little effers. It can't do any worse than they are doing. I really don't want to have to chop it.

I used the pvc from my tomato cages last year and built rain shelters for the girls. I bought 3 9 x 12 clear 3 mil drop cloths for the tops. Thank you Hodge for the medi to help me out. I actually have a headache coming on and am smoking it right now.

I tried to upload the pics but my comp is acting strange so I will do it tomorrow.

:peace:

Sorry to hear about the nasty bugs fumble :(. I don't really know how to combat them, sounds like a whole new beast (I have more reading to do ). Only advice I can give is do your best not to worry about your plants while on your trip. This may be the only wedding your son will ever have, and you can always grow bigger and better plants next year :D. Are you gonna keep the makeshift greenhouse over your girls at all times? Looking forward to the pics :D

I've noticed my plants that are elevated 3 or 4 ft off the ground on a stand don't have near the same problem as my plants that are directly on the ground.
