Whats wrong with mayo jars?yup, as long as it's a mason jar, you're laffing. (ball, kerr, bernardin, consumer's glass, golden harvest, etc. etc.) you just don't want to re-use most "packaging"-type jars. mayo jars especially. 'classico' brand pasta sauce uses a proper mason jar but they're the only ones i've found so far. cottage industry products ('homemade' jams, pickles, etc. usually from the farm market) usually come in proper mason jars too.
hm. never added water before, but come to think of it, i can see how it would minimise the squeezing, at any rate. good food for thought, thanks for that. +rep.

As far as the mayo jars, I think they would shatter in the oven probably.
Hello Fumble and Hodgegrown, I am also diabetic but love my food and sweets my lady is for Texas and can she cook and makes me all kinds of sweets what she has found was Splenda it replaces sugar it is a little pricey thou but she uses it for me to replace sugar and I can have my own cake candy ect. You use it just like you wood sugar if what you are making calls for a cup of sugar you use a cup of splenda you can also get it to replace brown sugar also. Their is no funny tast or after taste! I am such a LUCKY person to have found her! G.D.

I would like to add low or no sugar items to my product line. And I am in total agreement with you - I love to cook and will never give up food.
