G13 Pineapple Express and UFO Skunk #1 from Attitude. First Time Hydroponics Grow

Who told you to keep the lights on for 24 hours? No wonder your plant is stressed!!! If you want to jumpstart the plants growth, I highly recommend that you start a foliar program. I started using a new hydro line called Gro High Cal and they have this foliar product "RAIN" that is made with pharmaceutical grade N-P-K and I think it would work perfect for you.

If you are interested, I contacted their rep and he let me purchase directly through him at wholesale pricing. I don’t think I should post his phone number so here is his email: scott@4caf.com

I can't find the original material I read that made me choose a 24/0 schedule, but basically it had several veteran growers, as well as an article based on a study that basically stated how you receive 33% more growth over the same period of time. You also get less stretch and a shorter bushier plant, which is what I'm shooting for anyways. Either way, I'm on 18/6 now. A huge upside of doing this is that when the lights off the temps are ideal and the humidity as well, with nothing more than a oscillating fan and the humidifier running. I guess that'll save a little on the power bill. And I assume by the time I switch to flowering I'll be able to get by with nothing more than the oscillating fan going as the humidity hangs around 33% on it's own.
https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/292985-24-0-vs-18-6-a.html <---This briefly touches on why I went w/ the 24/0 schedule.
And as for the "RAIN" product you were talking about, and Gro High Cal...I googled both, and couldn't find anything even close to being similar to either. Kind of weird..

Go to twitter and type in grohighcal. Their website is not up yet so Twitter is where you will be able to find all of their products and info!

Custom Ag Formulator's, Inc. is the company that started Gro High Cal. I guess they are very well known in the Agricultural industry. Whatever the case, these guys know plants and what sold me is the fact that they are located in Fresno, CA. California has tough regulations when it comes to fertilizer/ nutrients so we at least know that their products are going to be stable and true to the label!!

The labeling/logos are very catchy/sleek, but a quick glance at the ingredients looks very similar to the side of my FloraDuo bottle, with a few subtle differences. I'm not downing the product at all, I'm just not sold on it as I've yet to finish testing out the products that were used in the thread that got me growing in the first place. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, and will only expand over time, so I'll keep it in mind for sure. Also, I'm not knowledgeable enough yet to know if the "pharmaceutical grade" elements in the product really make that much of a difference, as I've seen tons of journals using GH products with spectacular results, especially ScottyBalls. I know you've also done very well for yourself, but you also are using completely different equipment/lighting.

Yeah, I love the labels! No worries, it was just a recommendation! The pharmaceutical grade means that it is pure, very little or no impurities. You end up with a better uptake and then bigger, better plants!!

Did you notice the pharmaceutical grade potassium tri-poly phosphate? I have never seen anything like that before!

Isn't Tri Polyphosphate just a fancy way of saying there's 3 phosphate units grouped in a chain? Like I said, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the differences.
And I started for a lot of reasons...I've grown before in soil, but I was a lot younger and I didn't have the income or space of my own to really put forth a proper effort at growing MJ. Now I have the space, and the finances, and I figured why not. I had fun the first time around, and this time has been even more fun, and it seems like a nice hobby to have. Also appears that it could be very lucrative financially if I ever needed it to, but I figure what I'll save from not having to go buy it will be enough for me. Then there's the excitement factor I get from day to day checking up on new growth.

Thanks Pukka. The ones that were affected originally have shriveled up and died, so I removed some with a sterile pair of scissors a few nights ago. A few of the others died and fell off, and theres still a few that are iffy looking remaining that I didn't want to mess with at the time. The new growth seems fine for the most part. I've only had the PH under control for a few days now, but she seems to be loving it. Thanks on the screen, I got bored and pieced it together with a few 2x4s I had laying around. It's really a piece of shit, but it'll serve its purpose well I believe lol.

Day 31
Temp - 83 (for some reason I'm having trouble keeping the temps down now, it usually stays at 81 with the lights on and the fan going...now it keeps trying to drift upwards. I'm thinking it may be because its warming up here)
Humidity - 35% (lower humidity as a result of the raise in temps)
PPM - 420
PH - 6.1
She looks to be doing just fine now. Seems to be diverting a lot of her energy towards all the new branches that are racing towards the light, as they are taller than the center growth is at this point. She's went from having 1 main top, to 7-8 by this point. Seems that one or two new ones emerge as each day passes.
EDIT: After looking at the humidifier a little closer, the water level hadn't changed at all since last night, so I removed the water tank and the filter was dry. I guess I didn't seat it properly, so I replaced it and it gulped down a few shots of water immediately. I'm assuming the humidity will rise and the temps will go back down a little as its a cool mist humidifier.

Day 33
Temp - 82
Humidity - 44
PPM - 712
PH - 5.9
Res change last night to bump her nutes up. Moved her up to 700 and she seems to like it. She now has one growth tip touching the screen, with a few more right behind her. I'm a little nervous about the weaving itself, seems like it may be a little tough because of the way she's growing, but I guess we'll see. FloraNova Bloom should be here tomorrow. I think I'm going to wait another week or so to flip her to 12/12, and when I do I'm contemplating whether or not to use the FloraNova, or to finish up this grow with the FloraDuo.

Yeah the PH being sorted has made her happy it seems. And I didn't top it at all, I was going to if necessary but for some reason she's growing like a bush on her own. Maybe it was the 24/0 lighting cycle I had her on for a month. Looks like I may have to start weaving today, as I just peeked inside the tent for the first time today and he has a few different tips have reached the screen it seems.
And yes, I've chilled out a lot since she's been doing better. It was stressful to spend all that money on growing and not being able to keep the plants healthy looking.

Got a digital camera today, so I should be able to upload better pictures in the future. I also built a grow box out of some spare Polyshield I had laying around. I intend on vegging a few plants in there so that by the time the PE is done flowering I'll have a few smaller plants to put into flower as well. Its a very ugly box, but I think it will serve its purpose haha. Since I don't have another HID light other than my Mercury Vapor one, I think I'm going to run that with a few CFLs until I can afford another light. I have ONE spare drip unit, but I have a combination of seeds I can give a shot without having to worry about. The only problem is, I only know the sex of one of the 4 potential seeds. This being said, I think my best bet would be to plant the 3 mystery seeds in soil, and put the one I'm sure of in the spare drip unit.
The only female I'm sure of is my C99 seed. I also have a Vanilla Kush, but plan on waiting to start her up. The other 3 mystery seeds are from a bag of green I got from my buddy the other day...This was some of the best smoke I've seen in a while, and yet it had a few seeds in the bag I bought. It made me excited to see its potential without seeds coming into the picture to halt THC production....He called the strain "Gas", but a few google searches later and I still can't find anything on it. Either way, I think I'll start those 3 in small pots until I can determine the sex, and just let the feminized C99 veg the entire time. It's still a work in progress, but I look at everything that will grow in the next area as an experiment, and anything I gain will be a bonus as I didn't intend on doing this while flowering the PE at first.
Will update with pictures of the new grow box as well as the PE later tonight.

Bad news: Some unnecessary drama occurred at the house, and now I have to move everything to another location for a week or two until everything is straightened out here...I'm a little skeptical about having to move her, and she'll be going from a tent in a bedroom to a tent in a tool shed behind my moms house...Hopefully I can manage the temperatures an smells like I have at home. :/
Just wish she wasn't so big, moving is going to be a pain I suspect....On a happier note, she is at the screen and its time to start weaving. Will update in a little while with her last pictures before the move.
