I had a subscription to Nintendo Power when I was like 12-15 years old. Used to love that magazine.

I had a subscription when it first started for a couple years. Also played Kings Quest II if my memory is correct. What a funny game.

Question for you peeps... I have no hope you have any idea but it's worth a try. There is a game I don't know the name of and can't find for anything. It was on the NES and was basically a guy on some space planet or something that would run really fast strait ahead. Sometimes you would have to jump on these mushrooms or something like that to make it over pits and such. That's about all I got. Anyone have any ideas?

Game informer is the only magazine that I have had a few subscriptions to over the years. They review every system and are all around pretty good.

3D World runner?

I was going to post the video directly but I would click ok and it wouldn't do anything.

Anyone else read Official Nintendo Magazine (formerly NOM) or other gamer magazines? I had to stop buying them because they're up to $10 each and I always want more than one then I ran out of space because I keep them all and reread them...

I'm not really a computer gamer but on the topic of Retro, who else likes King's Quest and Jazz Jackrabbit?

Holy used to play the kings quest games long time ago. that shit was hard . so much walking to find stuff . but could never stop playing . they would hide stuff in the crazyest places.Did nt a new one come out like a year ago or so?? gonna have to look into that

Old school...started with pong and went from there. I've had most if not all game systems, played good, bad and amazing games. Was a subscriber to the PS mag when it first came out, it's was cool when you got the demos discs, hell I still have all of them tucked away somewhere. I'm currently playing G.O.W 3 {on god level lol} and Infamous with many others waiting to be played.

Had an AWESOME time with two online games, but I don't play anymore.

The first was a WWII flight sim called "Warbirds", and it was a blast. There was a HUGE learning curve, as the game tried to model real world physics, so you literally had to learn how to fly your bird, and learn how to pull lead when you shot. Very niche player vs. player game, and there were some awesome "pilots" (some were real world pilots) who could do shit with a bird that would make you go "how the fuc......". I enjoyed the historical aspects, as well as the team work. Good times.

The second was an RPG that my buddy was playing called DAOC, so I started playing as a way to keep in touch. I enjoyed the team work and player vs. player aspect, but between the PVP cheating, constant character nerfs, and the fact that each update added more PVE grinding bullshit you NEEDED in order to be competitive, it got old, and people started leaving for WOW and other MMO's.

Fun times.

People may LEAVE wow but they always come back, there were many who left for SWTOR and i mean by the 10s of thousands and came back a month later, along with rift, ect ect , if they are truly interested in MMO's they will always come back to wow , at some point.

I picture a shadowy executive type at Blizzard, sitting in a giant chair in a dark room, petting a cat, watching streams of users cancel their subscription to WoW to join SWTOR, calmly whispering into the cat's ear, "They'll be back, oh yes, they always come back."
