I put my seeds in a glass of water overnight or until they sink. Sometimes you have to tap the seeds to get them to sink. I then place them in a moist folded up paper towel and in a ziploc bag and into my closet until they have tap roots. Change the paper towel every time you check the seeds. My seeds are usually ready to go the next day after going into the paper towel.

I think I get what your talking about, It's always good to plant a few seeds cause some don't make it past the germination phase. Wait another day, make sure they stay wet, but aren't in the direct ray or else they could dry out and you'll just have a dead seed. They have to bury theyre roots in a dark but warm environment then they stick theyre first round leaves out... :).

If you see absolutely no movement whatsoever after another day, then... well personally I threw mine away but hopefully someone else on the forum will have better tips on how to revive it.

after sprout at what angle do you put in soil root up--down? how wet is soil
Root down. Soil wetnes go by touch. Water till water comes out the bottom, water evenely. I then roll the pot around on its edge so the water spreads inside the pot. Now pick up the pot with both hands feeling how heavy it is. When it dries out the top inch or 2 should be dry to the touch. Pick the pot up, feel the weight. Should be a big difference if it needs to be watered again.

Or just buy a meter, the way i described is cheaper and you eventually " get it" right with the watering
