hello , it is my first grow so i will be really open to anyhelp i can get...

i have one hps 400w lamp and i want to grow 4 onyx autoflower plants

i have seen this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mialJJMywJA) and i did the same so now i went to check on them after 40hours and only one seed had a little root(i planted it) in the other 2 the root has just popped out and i can't see the root of the lastone...
should i leave them and wait more or should i try something different?(sorry for my English)

Soil:
Fioriplus
- electricalconductivity : 40ms/m(+/-25%)
-ph: 5.5-6.5
-total lubrication: enriched with peat with a total fertilization 1,5 kg/m3
-organic matter: 80% dryweight
-mixture ofpeat: (blonde-black)90-95%
-pearlite: 5-10% (i added more so now it is something like 30-35%)
-calcium carbonate (CaCO3): 3-5kgr/m3
-humidity: 60-70%
Fertilizers :
-Root juice (Biobizz)
-Sensi Grow A+B Advanced Nutrients ( http://www.advancednutrients.com/hyd...nformation.php)

so you suggest that i should take the seeds from the plate and put them into soil under the light ? (kingrow1)

yes damp loose soil like towel and put them so root is face down, and cover, sow seeds 1/4 down, oh and just water till you see 3 sets of branching leaves

remember damp soil not wet,

water with small cup and in low doses, and only when soil around seed gets dry, i have only popped seeds 3 times but they always work so i must be doing somthing right

i germinate in coco, canna coco is inert with a low ph perfect

wait for anything till third set of leaves then go nuts

young plants/seedlings need very little light and nutes

they need a cool and dark damp enviroment to flourish

do you have a top soil, only soil or soiless medium and no additives, rockwall ?

I dont germinate your way unfortunatly nor like to as i get better results my way. There is lots of help in the thread if you read it and advice on how to do a soil mix for seedlings with seedling soil, perlite and lime. Id just stick them in the right soil or jiffy cubes once the root shows and let nature do the rest. Peace

i didnt see jiffy cubes on the list of his materials im sure hes just trying to work with what he has, more then most beginners

i have had 100% results im sure king has too( seeds that germinate), main part is not to overheat under heat or overt water or under water, and no food until plant is healthy enough to eat normally and even then you step up the nut uptake

you dont want a plant in lock out 4in tall because you threw to much nuts in

also all the organic material in your soil will contain some nutrients and is refered to as slightly hot soil and will cook seeds some times, to much to early

Like the thread says if you dont have jiffy cubes plant straight to seedling soil mixed with perlite. Seedling soil here is a must, dont think you can get away with normal soil and seedlings as its too strong and inbalanced. Reguardless of what materials he has or dosent he needs to get or have seedling soil and perlite minimun.

Plant straight to soil but only seedling soil with perlite unless you have an inert soil to which you can add a starter fertilizer for seedlings. Peace

luckily i have never had any problems with CANNA CoCo and its PH but i recently started some organic stuff and man am i getting a little lost but learning is good

good luck OP and im sure it will turnout great

Peat and perlite with small amount of organic matter to keep it light for seedlings. Plant in small pot so it outgrows it quick then you can do a soil mix with more organic matter to make it stronger is best guess if you dont have a shop near you that sells cheap small bags of seedling soil. Peace

I have the canna terra organic soil at the moment and really too strong for seedlings, even if they dont burn by the time you need to fertilize there very imbalanced nute wise. Bigger plants fare so much better but i feel 50% perlite is needed to make it a good free draining soil as it holds onto water like crazy. Mine came with lots of fungus gnats too but easy to treat and i like their company when im bored.

There should be minimun pH problems is most canna soils, mine is perfect and stays that well for the whole grow, i dont need to add lime to canna soil as enough is already in it. Still i prefer my shop bought westlands soil and simply add a handfull of the canna mixed in as an amendment. Peace

i run straight coco, the smart bags i use easily dry out quickly and i figure no 30-50% perlite means more room for ROOTS and nutrients and water my 3 gallon plants in flower mind you take up 1.5 gallons everyday, all coco its like a sponge but i run just canna real organics though

my organic stuff is gonna have roots 707 and HP pro mix as my hot and top soils

Yer i prefer soil and better for my small continuous sog although with that many plants at different stages there is always a few that need watering everynight. I run biobizz, maxicrop seaweed and fulvic with benificials but am considering cannas soil two part nutes for my next grow and hopefully no additives. Will see how they go but there soil is a little too rich for me to use straight out of the bag. Peace

Picture0002.jpgthe temperature is at 27.6 C should i put an other fan?or should i put them at my balcony? :( i am scaredPicture0001.jpg

Need temps under 25 imo but some manage at those temps. Obviously you havent got a sealed room and inline extractor fan?? Peace
