Germination Thread " Our Methods "

I've tried everything, finally settled on basically the soak in water for 8-12 hours and then plant directly in soil method. However, having recently switched to NFTG nutes, I'm using a method where you soak the seed in "Zeus juice" and water for 8-12 hours and then plant in soil, so it gets a little extra calcium in the process... I'm finding an even better rate of success now... Trying not to sound like a salesman though :)

If your gear is VIABLE ( age ) you can simply plant it ... whether soil , plug , cube , whatever.

You can ALSO grab a newspaper , fold / cut a small square with seed inside , dip it in water and bury in dirt. Works too.

Seed drops in nature doesn't have “ garden fairies “ or “ leprechauns “ flipping the seeds one way or the other.

It’s the OLDER stock you have to “ nudge “ one way or another to germ. Soaking in URB or rooting hormone , scuffing and or light cracking of outer shell , longer soaks , heating pads , etc.

Mother nature figured it out , so will the seed.

If the seeds are planted point down you will sometimes get that curly thing where root becomes stem. Seen it happen.

I used to use rockwool and moved to rapid rooters. Only problem I had with them was when I moved to a new place and tried out the tap water which was a no go. Used RO and everything pops. Love them.
