"With regards to the consumption of red meat, there was an overall increased risk of all-cause and CVD-related mortality in both men and women for those in the uppermost quintile of reported red meat consumption compared with those in the lowest quintile of red meat intake."

http://archinte.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=1691919#RESULTS

Conclusions and Relevance Vegetarian diets are associated with lower all-cause mortality and with some reductions in cause-specific mortality. Results appeared to be more robust in males. These favorable associations should be considered carefully by those offering dietary guidance.

I hope you take this education seriously so you can repair the damage you've done to your own body.
I agree that over consumption of red meat has adverse effects on health. But what do you think about meat like turkey, chicken or fish? They are extremely lean and I'm honestly curious if there are any studies regarding their effects?

When in history was a civilization able to do so?
So you are making the argument that humans haven't been able to live off plant food in history since it has not been available? That would seem to weaken your argument that plant food is the humans optimal diet if their evolution was wasn't based around it, thus based around meat eating and non plant food sources (and this is not what some plant based advocates argue either).

So assuming this is what you are saying, I believe 10000 years ago humans were inventing agriculture so you have this much time in history to find a vegan civilization that thrived? I don't think it exists.

I forgot, here is what I had for lunch.

anaheim chilis, banana peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers (jalapenos not pictured), all organic from my garden
The tea is doing wonders this year. I put it on and the next day the plants just explode.

Can't wait for the Black Krim and the cherry peppers to ripen up in the next few weeks
Alright cool, but how the f can you eat that all the time? thats crazy i cant imagine eating like that unless I had to

My point is throughout history there has no been an abundance of any kind of food. They had to eat anything that was edible to subside.

Today we live in a far different world. Get my point now?

We are just now on the forefront of agriculture. You know in the late 1800's ninety percent of the people living in the United States worked on farms. That number is less than one percent today and we produce far more food than ever before in history.

We don't live in the dark ages anymore. We need to stop wasting resources raising cattle because cheeseburgers are so tasty.

Go eat a potato raw and see if you get sick.

Hint: you will because raw potatoes are toxic

Does this mean humans are not meant to eat potatoes?
my neighbor must be superwoman, she just ate one of my potatoes raw the other day (not a euphemism for a sex act).

Not saying it's impossible, but you'd have to consistently catch and eat them raw (unless you could naturally start a fire) to survive. The guy you're referring to also likely used tools along the way.
I do not understand the Satanic stigma being applied to tool use. cn

just looked it up, you can eat raw potatoes but it is wise to remove the skin first and there are tradeoffs and benefits.

Carnivores don't use or need tools to hunt down their prey, humans do because they lack true carnivorous characteristics/instincts. You still didn't answer my questions, though...

So you are backing off from your wildly stupid generalizations?
I'm glad you finally came to your senses.

I wish you were actually able to understand the studies you posted and how your conclusions are incredibly flawed.
The OP seems pretty grounded in reqality. Maybe he should be your mentor or life coach.

That and the other studies you posted disproves your dumb generalizations. If you want to labor under your own preconceived notions, that is fine, but go sell your crazy elsewhere, we are all full here.

You have not taught me a thing except that you are mentally unstable, pretentious, rude, childish, petty, illogical, unintelligent...

When your paradigm begins to unravel, you attack a person instead of the ideas that are overwhelming your tiny, unstable mental facilities.

I hope you grow up and someday are able to quit being a closed minded, pretentious twat.
I hope that you get the mental help you need to over come the serious damage you have done to your brain.

I hope you take what I am saying seriously and start to9 fix the hot mess that is you.

Good luck with all that.

Do you eat rice raw?

If I was in the wild I am certain I would be eating all the wild harvested fruit I could find, along with any other type of nutrients I could get my hands on. If that means eating worms and insects then so be it. I am fairly certain I would also hunt down almost any type of meat I could get my hands on. Fish, crabs, cray fish, birds, reptiles, rodents. It's like someone has taken all the nutrients in a bunch of plants and concentrated them into some meat.
You can sprout rice. It's actually quite healthy and good. If you use a dehydrator, you can turn it into a tortilla type item. It then contains all the same protein.

On a side note, ever since I went vegan, foods all taste way better.

Btw, I'm not raw vegan, but their food still tastes good if prepared properly. Maybe one of these days I'll get a dehydrator.

The fact hat you think my IBS can be cured just goes to show how much of a rude, condescending person you are.
If you can cure IBS, you could help millions of people and make millions of dollars.

Quit acting like a childish jackass.

I know, because I have it. How about we stop talking about something you are clearly just googling and talk about how you are a rude person?

None of those things you found in your idiotic google search are factors for me.
Why don't you worry about your obvious mental problems instead of my IBS?

I'm going to guess that you are a rude person with no idea how rude you are being and that you also have mental problems.
Your guess is wrong, way off base. I think my guess hits pretty close to home.
You have no idea what my diet is like, except that I eat meat.

You really do not know what you are talking about.
I bet my diet is better than yours. I eat meat in moderation which is healthy for most people.

If only I had thought of that 6 years ago. Oh, wait, I did. I found out about it because I did research.
Why don't you try lithium? It may take the edge off off your mental health issues. The narcissism should be addressed in therapy.

Yet another thing that you know nothing about. If we were having this conversation in person, you would have shut your lie hole a while ago and you would have apologized.

Do you want to continue displaying your ignorance regarding my health or do you want to continue displaying your ignorance regarding diet?
I've had IBS all my life. I now only get problems once or twice a year. Going vegan has done wonders. I still have funky fluffy poo, but it's better than having extreme bloating, pain and cramps. I know TMI, TMI.
