It seems the tallest White Widow is into bondage :) ............. I had to tie her up last night, she was leaning/falling over.
One of her sisters is showing a lot of red/orange hairs.
More stuff ordered:
I ordered a Zorb USB microscope.......... My old eyes are having a hard time seeing.............. anything

I hate changing the res.......... although, it's getting easier.
cut back to 1ml/gal Grow and increased the Bloom to 6ml/gal

Edit: I put the same amount pH down as I did last time but, I forgot that my meter was off calibration last res change. It was at 5.0, so I added a little pH up to 5.5.
ppm is 574 or 1.15EC

last time I did a res change.... ppm started at 580........ at the end of the week(7 days) it was 702
I started with 15 gal in the res...... at the end of the week, there was 11 gal in the res

The pass week's ppm and pH
ppm580 pH6.0
ppm609 pH6.0

Calibrate pH meter adjusted it down 1.0

ppm622 pH5.5
ppm640 pH5.5
ppm672 pH5.5
ppm677 pH5.6
ppm702 pH5.5

Well, today I let myself get caught up in some petty internet BS. I didn't really care about what they were saying, I just got tired of reading the same old tired BS day after day (he said, they said).
Basically, someone pissed someone off and that someone started posting in the others' threads, trying to discredit the OP. It's just stupid............. and I(dumbass) had to put in my 2 cents. (Nicely :) )

Why can't we just get along and learn from each other?

I got the Zorb USB Microscope today and thought I'd take a look at the buds for clear, cloudy, or amber.

I would say dont even waist your time and energy building your own grow room. WHO THE HELL DOES MANUAL LABOR NOW DAYS?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I would definetly sugguest buying a premade tent. It will cost you probably an extra $150 but that is far worth less than the time i would waist learning how to build this thing from scratch.

I love those closeups! How do the plants look right now?
Thanks, with my old eyes I could barely even tell that they had any hairs or trichomes on them.

Well I wish I could say that they were as green as I would like, but the leaved have started turning yellow on most of the plants. The biggest plant (White Widow) has always been yellowing, while the others were still green. The last 2 days a couple of the other WW has started yellowing half way up the leaves. The LSD plant has got some tip yellowing but, the Blueberry Gum is still green.
I'll try to get some pics of them when they wake up...... if my poor piece of S**T camera is up to it.

Next grow is going to be 1 strain only. It has been hard to know what to do when all the plants look good except for one.

P.S. What book would you suggest getting for a new grower who wants to learn?

Cheers,

That's what I ended up doing.
I got a tent because if I move I can quickly take it down and put it up at a new location.

Thanks for stopping by, Cheers......

Yeah, post some pics, we'll figure out what's going on with them.

Mel Frank or Ed Rosenthal are authors I'd look into. I picked up a Jorge Cervantes book years ago while in amsterdam and to be honest, I really don't think it gave me any info on how to grow any better. Trial and error as well as following the talented growers back at overgrow taught me a lot.

Nice pics, great thread, if I ever get to raising hydro, ton of info here. You sure got the equipment, seems like you were buying stuff like crazy. I did have one question though, in your first post you said that you had to hide it from your family, how did that go with all the equipment. I never had any luck, no matter what type of stealth, my wife always got the last word. So that is why I am going to grow outside this year, that is if it ever warms up. Ugh it is 0 out this morning. Nice work

Yeah, if I were to give any newb advice it would be, Read and then read some more before buying. I'd see something and think, yeah, that's the ticket, then I'd read something and , No, now that's it. lol

I'm on the right track now though!

I just decided to go ahead and tell the family about it........... Now, when it's time for the lights to come on, everybody comes in to see how much they've grown or how much bigger the buds have gotten. :)
Pretty funny and really KOOL!

Cheers, and good luck with your future grows.

I'm going to get Mel Frank's book:
I removed the link to the book I ordered because........... I got an email from redeyepress saying they don't have the spiral bound book for sale any more and are going to send me the normal bound book.
Thanks,

The next 3 posts will be pics of my 1st grow. I found some pics of the last week of veg and they were all green, green, green. I've done no topping or anything for that matter, except to tie down a couple of plants that were falling over.
The main reason for not doing a whole lot of stuff to them was for learning how they grow on their own and also, "What not to do".

P.S. edit: My camera is old and sucks.......... :)

G13 Blueberry Gum (freebie)
I put this one into flower at 2-3 weeks from seed and 3 weeks behind the others. I just wanted to see what would happen.

Nirvana's White Widow

1 of them is about 12-16" taller then the others and has been yellowing leaves since I put it in flower. As they got fully yellow I removed them ( learning again, to see what would happen).
The other 2 are about the same height but, grew very differently.

Projected dates of finish and the breeders flowering times.

BBGUM 50 days April 3rd
WW 56-70 days April 9-23rd
LSD 60-65 days April 13-18th

Oh yeah, I have never ran just water to get the salts out............. could that be some of my problems?
I've also noticed that....... right after res change the ppm goes up and then levels off and after calibrating my pH meter the pH has been very stable.
This is this past weeks' ppm and pH readings (2 feeds per day... 1st when lights come on, and the 2nd, 2 hours before lights out)
ppm574 pH5.5 ppm552 pH5.5
ppm627 pH5.7 ppm634 pH5.7
ppm642 pH5.9 ppm636 pH6.0
ppm663 pH6.0 ppm656 pH6.0
ppm665 pH6.0 ppm645 pH5.9
ppm667 pH6.0 ppm688 pH6.0
ppm664 pH5.9

Cheers,
