Temps since flip are about 78-80 during lights on and 70-72 during lights off

RH has been 45-55% dependent on how recently I watered

No CO2 no nutes just super soil and dechlorinated water so far and everything vegged in roots organic of course

More pollen sacs opening this morning

Gave my Vanilla Tart male a good shake in front of the fan to circulate the pollen onto bud sites of both Vanilla Tart and Querkle females

Much like what I saw Subcool do in his seed production videos

I want to produce as much seed as possible this run or I’d separate the male and use a paintbrush to pollinate the bud sites to get smoke too

Vanilla Tart male is releasing his stuff last two days

A few buds look pollinated already but I’m going in the room and giving him a shake every few hours as well to help get that pollen onto his lady companions

New arrangement in closet with two lights instead of one

Using a Crecer Lighting Panthrx mini II and an HLG 350R dimmed to about 75%

Moved my plants around earlier and this seed was on the floor in a severed calyx, so I’m not sure if it’s a Vanilla Tart F2 seed or a Querkle x Vanilla Tart seed

but with the differences between the moms I’ll be able to tell which it is soon after growing it, maybe can tell while still in veg as Querkle has a very distinct different aroma grapes and cherry and piney jack herer like undertones, and the Vanila Tart has an aroma much more cookie and dough like with cherry undertones

plus the growing structure is very different Querkle being much more bushy and indica dominant vs Vanilla Tart being 50% sativa and pretty stretchy, so I will dry this seed out and germinate it first before the others and label it as ? until I know which it is..

Querkle x Vanilla Tart mature seeds falling out of calyxs

I can’t wait to fully dry these and germinate them ! First pollen chuck nearly complete and in testing, if I like the results I’m gonna use the same parents in other crosses as well

I’d be willing to trade you some Green Avenger (male) x TimeWreck (my keeper out of a 20 seed hunt-several years ago) seeds for querkle x v.h. seeds…..just sayin’ lol bongsmilie

Yeah that’d be an awesome trade !

I’ve always wanted Timewreck and Green Avenger I wanted when it came out but I kinda waited too long to try and get them lol

Once I harvest and have all my seeds sorted and dry I’ll definitely be wanting to do that trade! Im at day 43 with a few mature seeds already so it won’t be long here on my end :blsmoke:

I grew the green avenger in 2016 and chose the last male to show sex. My TimeWreck cut is a winner out of 20 seed hunt(page 455-tga by others) A few years back a friend made bubble hash using a washing machine and said it was the most hash he’s gotten off a run. The amount of gravity keif is insane. I grew the cross out several times (tw x ga) and reminded me of vortex with that earthy smell. It’s a winner.

Man that’s exciting I love making bubble hash and am looking into getting at least a manual style rosin press as we speak

The Querkle mom I used is the best out of 10 seeds so far but I do have a few more packs to hunt through maybe I’ll find an even nicer Querkle gem and the Vanilla Tart male was the last to show sex out of the 13 pack I had too

After we trade it’ll be awesome to grow my first cross next to your creation and see all the awesome phenos I get !

Took a small lower branch off the Querkle to see how my seeds are ripening and got about 25-30 seeds out of it lol I can’t imagine how many the whole harvest will bring

probably gonna fresh frozen the flower material post removing seeds as I don’t want to harvest seeds dry the bud that still has few premature seeds in it etc I’d rather just make some bubble hash and medibles and call it a day

Another clip on fan crapped out on me

they make these so junky I remember old fans lasting longer than a flower cycle or two but maybe I’m expecting too much from such a cheap product lolimage.jpg

Just made a bunch of seeds, currently only have one mom in veg, and a handful of seeds I’m waiting on sprouting…

so I’m honestly considering taking a short break from growing as I have a roof leak close to my grow and I can easily tear down and set back up after the work is finished as an insurance adjuster is coming this week to inspect the leak and get an estimate for the damage done mainly just some stained drywall and the occasional drop of water

but still I’m very nervous about them coming to assess the interior damage from smelling it to hearing fans or seeing the glow of light through the cracks around the door etc

any thoughts?

maybe I’ll fix the leak make more super soil and then start back with my fresh seeds I just made plus all the ones I’ve been collecting over the years mainly TGA and Producers Overstock gear in my collection with a few exceptions such as hybrids with TGA strains and some Badgers Batch plus Norstar gear too

If you only have one plant in veg, I would take some clones, keep them alive somewhere else in the house and tear down the grow area. I recently had a similar situation and tore everything down long before the inspection. Just give yourself plenty of time. :)

Yup that’s the plan I think
I’d rather not take chances in my state they don’t play here with growing

Just want to keep this pheno of Querkle alive I love it and it’s the mom of the pollen chucking I just did

But I’ll be back to growing shortly just need to get the house inspected and repairs done so before summers over I’ll be back at it

Getting back into growing after family life and a teenage step-daughter took priority for a few years but Im back at it ! Can’t stay away !

Environment: 3x3 tent, with a 315 cmh and one 6 inch fan cooling with filter, exhaust is out top left of the tent, a passive 6 inch intake which is coming in the bottom right of the tent, a few clip on fans inside for circulation, I put 10 beans in my solo cups of Roots Organic this morning. T5 in there to pop seeds, but I will also be trying an LED run later on this year in this same environment.

Medium: Roots Organic through veg, for flower, the plan was to use some super soil I mixed up in November. I will get to making a better mix more coots style/no-till for my next run, but I need some better smoke ASAP.

Strain: Fermented Fruit which is Marionberry Kush x Royal Spill, by South Bay Genetics.

Experience: Grew up popping seeds in my closet with CFLs then graduating to a 2x4, then a 4x4, then a 4K sealed room in my old house, all with HPS. This is my first CMH run. Also will be trying LED later this year, I pre ordered the Crecer Lighting Panthrx II mini. Ships out around March 15th! So excited, sorry for rambling on and on...

Wish me luck my brothers and sisters, and much love to all !
Awesome!! Nothing like growing your own( as you know from experience) Bless your grow and the medicine that comes from it.
