im 99% sure the HLGs are NOT case grounded apart from the 4 hex-looking spots on the bottom. ill throw a meter on one in a bit
Could swear I read that they were case grounded, but if I'm wrong I'd like to know! I'd definitely run another leg to the ground if that's the case. (Not to mention provide that feedback...)

As far as the semi-passive cooling, not a huge fan either (pun intended), but it seems to be good enough considering the low dissipation wattage.

nice light. the wiring is no big deal. most of he wires in question are from a single driver to power other devices, like fans and such. Case ground comes from units being in physical contact with each other; i.e. bolted together; driver carries ground from wall to case. nice anodized case too. meanwell drivers for the leds. looks like it will last as long as all the other lights out there. what was the price if I am not being to forward?

The aluminium case of the HLG drivers are grounded, however they are anodized and therefore not conductive. This is good for you touching the driver as the inside is grounded and the outside has more resistance due to oxide coating).
This is bad for contact-grounding the rest of the frame, as there is probably no continuity between the driver and painted frame unless one of the three hexagonal shaped contacts on the underside of the driver are in contact with an unpainted part of the frame.
