Hey Everybody,
My next piece of equipment is a digital pH meter, but until then, I've been using the General Hydroponics pH test kit, which has been OK and better than nothing.
The pH of the water I use is right at 6.0, and I've been using pH Up to take it to 6.5 and then adding nutes, GH Flora series.
I'm growing in CoCo and I mixed Rare Earth with the CoCo, instead of dolomite lime.
After some time, I'm thinking I should be adding some Rare Earth to my nutes as I water to make sure what's in the CoCo that may have been washed out is replaced.
Once I add nutes and then Rare Earth, the water is now "muddy" looking and I can't test the pH with the test kit.
So my question is, wouldn't the Rare Earth tend to raise the pH, so do I need to use pH Up to the plain water?
Thanks in advance for any advice, and sorry for being such a newb, but so far, I've been doing OK.
