You have to let your soil dry and dont water so much. You can get something called Knatrol or some other nat killer. But the nats are from overwatering. Its the #1 cause of plant death. Drowning!

i def dont over water. even though i water every day i can fully saturate my soil then 24 hrs later it will be dry as a bone all the way to the bottom. and the only thing that the local stores had for gnat killer is neem oil, but from what iv read it for spraying and not use in the soil.

i have/had a problem with gnats also. its from when i flushed out my soil, the next few days, i had gnats flying around. letting the soil dry out helped a ton. i also wipe the edge of my pot once a week with neem oil, just to keep critters out and prevent mold. not sure if this actually works, but im not going to stop to find out :)

I found that if you put a potato slice on your soil those larvae can't resist it then everyday just take it out when it's got some on it and do it again and again until you don't see them anymore. It's not a rumor I do it and it works. But please make sure to get them out of your house asap just don't throw it in the trash. IMO it's from not letting the soil dry enough between waterings.
