going to start national guard paperwork today

I flew through mine. But I didn't have to take it -- they wouldn't take me and I didn't want them. I consulted instead. Pay's better, and you can smoke all the pot you want.

My father enlisted, right after my sister was born. Played "musical MOS" from '71 until the end of the war, never left US soil, and made a killing as an OTR driver, between training classes for his preferred MOS.

Back when I was in the joint the army national guard would fuck with the inmates. They'd come up just at the tree line. "Thump thump thump thump." You'd see have a dozen old guys with walkers hitting the ground looking for Charlie. I love those fuckers! That deep thump thump as they creep your ass in plain site.

Quit whining, you asked for advice, you're getting advice. At the ripe old age of 23, most of the people posting in here had already served at least a tour in combat. I didn't enlist, because I have a problem with authority. I consulted, because I have no problem with war.

Buddy enlistments are not the best idea. You most likely won't be stationed anywhere near each other. No matter what promises made.

And, she's only a mother I fuck because I fucked her and made her a mother. :-P Seriously, don't try to go on the war path when YOU asked for advice, contradicted yourself, got defensive, and started being an ass.

Drug dealer? Way to "not kill innocent civilians." You're more a murderer and perpetrator of violence and violent crime than the crazy fucker who had his uncle axed. Your "lifestyle" that you need so much is paid for with the blood of others.

Praised for being a drug dealer? This site is about growing bud. Medical and now (legally) otherwise. It's not about pushing drugs, or being a poisoner -- my sig's a joke.

Want to try doing something with your life? Stop dealing drugs. Don't whine about it, get a job at McDonald's and supplement. Sell all the weed you want, but stop selling drugs. Then, help your old "customers" get clean. Apologize to the people you've poisoned, and to the families of the ones who've died (from your dose or not. You contributed.)

Deal with the potential bodies you've already stacked up, and then enlist in the Marine Corps. Go infantry, with a secondary MOS of medic. Be the front man on the front line. Purge yourself of the innocent killing you've already done.

ADHD, diagnosed and untreated, is your fault. Let me repeat that: YOUR FAULT. Own it, medicate as prescribed, and stop justifying your lazy, criminal, and murderous lifestyle with petty excuses like ADHD and justifications like "well, at least I feel bad."

Hola mija! You forget, you could also enlist with little paper squares...

Nope I told him I have ADHD and I use to take meds.

but I don't and haven't for years I learned to keep it controlled. And I do but ADHD means your hyper active.
I can pay attention but Im always up and moving.

I'm not complaing.
And bodies? I may have sold some pills and other things and may have contributed but come on if it wasn't me it would a been someone else.
I feel somewhat bad I guess but not guilty.

Also I think the army will be good for me. My family thinks so.

Either you have ADHD and you should medicate or quit using it as an excuse, or you don't which means you should stop using it as an excuse. Oh, and quit whining about it.

Of course you're high strung, though. You are a drug dealer. You aren't a liked person. Even weed dealers aren't normally "liked." You're also young, and if all you do is sell drugs (like you said above) than you lack physical exertion that jobs can provide.

Really? If it wasn't you it would be someone else? Why would you have a problem shooting an unarmed civilian, if ordered to? If you don't, you'll get into trouble, and someone else will. Same logic.

You sold, you contributed, you helped kill. Someone else's willingness to do that does not negate your responsibility. You see, they may have been willing to, but YOU DID. You took that opportunity to help kill someone.

EDIT:

I disagree with your, and your family's, assessment. Unless you can own what you've done, and try to make it right, the last place you need to be is in a place that will teach you to more efficiently kill, and give you the tools to do it. If you can't quit selling drugs, outside of the Army or prison, the army's not the right place for you.

The sound of clapping with one hand is silence. When a man becomes learns this he realizes this and stops trying.

I'll stop trying to clap with one hand.

This couldnt be overemphasized enough.

Support is there but its still not up to speed.

Studies about ptsd have shown a remarkable outcome since ww1
At the time it was called something else.
David Hackworth surmised that Vietnam was the first war that is showed its ugly side so quickly.
Prior to that vets had time before they went home, many times trapped on a ship with all their remaining buddies, they had time to unwind , cry and talk about all the terrible things that happened and that they did. It gave them time to readjust, today you could be back at your parents house in under 24 hours.

One of my dearest friends was a Khe Sahn vet from Vietnam, he had crippling ptsd, but then again, he was there during tet, 5000 or so marines and army special forces surrounded by 50,000 nva regulars , he died a few years ago, he was my brother and i watched him suffer for years. He told me every single day he heard his friends scream and die, and the guilt never left him.
He died on the floor of his condo of a heart attack about 6 years ago while his wife went next door and screwed around for 35 minutes instead of calling the emt. See, Dave Spradlin U.S. Marines 2/26 didnt feel like he should be happy because all his friends died. He wouldnt play ANY games , not even for exercise. He sabotaged his life.

Ive read his jacket and spoken to others who served with him there and the man was a true hero, It took him decades to get his disability from the Marines and he truly couldnt function.
I miss him every single day, the man has actually given me the shirt off his back.

Sorry to ramble, this is just a very sensitive subject for me, do you job, and hope to hell they change your mos, medics are by far one of the noblest things you could do, but it can also get you killed twice as fast as any other except maybe the gun, if you dont know how to use it.
Stay low

THATS what can happen if you dont get help.

Military Occupation Specialty code. MOS. The marines are notorious for this.

Also prepare yourself to get help with pstd when you are done. Don't be afraid to seek help. I'm dead serious.

You know right now we are in a huge RIF situation. They are offering several forms of early out in each branch. They pick and choose very carefully. They can afford to. The military is changing. We are moving into the age of the drone. The boys that drive the drones are relatively educated. We are moving away from cannon fodder. The problem is if you fuck up a drone it's not merely a few bucks of human it's millions in tech. So the humans that drive that tech have to be up to it.

Martha was a legend with special forces , she often visited their remote bases and worked during several attacks. She had a flag in her home that was given to her by some green beenies that said f!@# Communism , she hung it on her wall in a room she used for vets who needed a place to stay if they where close by.
At one point she was being interviewed by a woman and was asked about the flag and the reporter said she thought it was disgusting. Martha told her to get the f out of her house rotf.

How can a piece of technology be terrorism..? Drone pilots really make no decisions, the final order to fire comes from someone who is miles away from the pilots.
