the coco may do you well man, not saying it wont. i have never tried it but have heared mixed reviews on coco.
my personal opinion i think a soil based mix is a good beginner method but the coco may serve you well man , hope it does. i am interested to see your setup as i havent really seen much on the coco growing

my germ rate from my last attitude order is 5/5 100% i have 2 autos going and 3 reg plants + a couple bagseeds and a reveg project. ill have a update tomorow on my thread, trying to only update once a week so people can see the progress

the mirror isnt necesary but its not hurting anything either. grab yourself a big cardboard box and paint it flat white and set it up on your table around your plants.
13w CFl are kinda shitty, they will work but you would be better off getting 26w bulbs 2x the light per socket

5/5 is great.. And yesss.. A box would be perfect. Ya you think ill need more lights just too sprout eh? 208 watts if i go 26w.. Im only using that setup for sprouting. Like a few weeks. then im gonna transplant into 2 gl pots and bring em into my tent.
Dont forget i really shouldnt be in this forum. bc i am going to be growing with an 400w HPS tent op. I initially was goin CFL all the way and was going to build a nice CFL box setup, like yours. but i got my taxes in lol and decided to go HPS/tent. considering i was gonna run 300+ watts with CFL's anyway.
But ya i started on this forum in this section and all the people in here are cool shit, with good advice, so i came in here today asking about soils and nutes. and like usual everyone was very great and active inc you. Since im going to grow with HPS i should prolly ask questions in the other forum.. im gonna miss this section. lol. ill always come in this section and check them cfl journals, as i find nothing more enjoyable then checkn out the CFL grows. the thought of CFL growing sparks excitment for me. idky haha. i will grow a couple clones with cfls no doubt. in that closet.. just so i can harvest and smoke some cfl buds.

haha no doubt. thought people would Boo me outta here or something. i seen in some threads guys chirpn that they need to use the other forum, the forum that descrives there problem or wtv it is.. even today in my thread buddy was sayn there is a soil section i should use that.

when you switch to 12/12 for flowering, the plant will have the most stretch for about the first 2 weeks and sometimes you need to train the tops over to keep a more even canopy. sounds like it will stretch for an additional 12 days and will be a tall plant so further training will be needed than normally would.

i have tried lst, topping, and training.
i dont lst because it keeps them short and i grow more vertical with the plants on the outside edge elevated so the bulb is hanging vertical down inside the middle.
i dont top very often but sometimes i experiment.
and sometimes you need to train your tops over to get them even with the lower canopy so you can move the light down.
i pretty much let the plants tell me what needs to be done. sometimes you have to change your growing technique to the plants.

the green in the pic is just showing the canopy. if you look beneath the green color you can see the steps or shelves that the pots sit on. so as you move to the outside away from the bulb, the plants are higher up allowing the bulb to give light on the whole plant and not just the tops.
