The chemicals from the rubber paint won't leach into the water through the glass, even if some how it did get into the water the chemicals won't reach your lungs. Water is a good depressor for fumes and chemicals... and who's to say the rubber is even toxic enough to cause any damage o_o

can also use aquarium silicone to fix pipes...and is completely non-toxic...seeing as it used for something that holds fish...and you can kill a fish just by looking at it...so that should work good also...having to do so my self for my busted pipe
