No rain in southern OR till October 16. per accuweather. Lousy for mushrooms but great for growers.
I was flying from NM to PDX by way of LA yesterday, and had a window seat for that second leg. I imagine we were probably somewhere between Medford and Eugene when when it switched from relatively clear skies to 100% cloud cover. Stayed that way the rest of the trip and was steady rain when we landed.

Right now WU says its a mere 15% chance of rain... and yet its pouring rain outside. Go figya.

Scary week for me, forecasting 6 of 7 days of rain , 100 mm rain total and averaging 40-65km/hour winds, might take a few of the small ones in for the odd night
Hope you get through it. I'm on day 3 or 4 of a week of rain. I did a little early chopping on the Stinking Rotten Bastard. Sadly I am learning what you guys mean by full melt down mode.

I get a laugh when it's 88F and the forecast high is 86F

My biggest downpour this season was 3 1/2 inches in 30 minutes.
We got 15" in 90 minutes once, 20 years ago. It was nasty. Flash flooding, people died, damaged the bridges, massive damage all over town. It even derailed a train right in the middle of the city, making it much more difficult to get back and forth.

It's partly cloudy right now, but it started raining around noon, and has been doing it on and off since then. At 1610 it's 80F with 89% humidity. Forecast high of 85F with 20% chance of rain today, and a low of 71F tonight. We got about an inch and a half yesterday.

I remember a bad one at Love Canyon thirty odd years ago. Sister was in the mountains that day, but luckily wasn't there. Those canyon flash floods are scary as hell.
