Good shampoo + cheap conditioner

its just not good for your hair its covering up problems rather then solving them, it feels healthy but its not.

there are several products to really watch for, much like john fredas, "radiant BLOND" series, it says it will make your hair more blond and it does because theres peroxide in the shampoo and conditioner..which can eat away at your hair and make it feel more dry , infact they dont even have an ingredients list on their bottles only on their website...LOL , i mean its a give and take situation, you get what the companies are saying you just have to suffer through the other side of the pact.
Thanks for the advisory. However I'd be interested in products to watch for on the good side. When my hair was short, I had the usual male attitude toward hair products. Now that I'm trying to care for a shrinking number of lengthening hairs. (The worst thing you can do for your hair is quit smack. ohhh, it came out in brushesful!!!) cn

Pantene bad? It's as good as or better than the pricy stuff my sisters and ex used in the 80s and 90s. But I'll take your word for it. Can you recommend a good (price-comparable locally-available) conditioner for long straight thin hair with a marked absence of anything describable as "body"? cn
years ago i dated a girl who was in hairdressing school and one day she was going on about some experiment they did in school where pantene took paint off of something. i just googled it and found no such claim but i did find a lot of hatred for it because it supposedly builds up over time and prevents hair-nourishing products from absorbing or something to that effect.

i feel really lucky to have access to steady hair dye conditioner. they should just sell that stuff on its own.

When I'm using the cheap stuff (and showering frequently) I like to skip using shampoo every other shower and noticed this helps my hair look/feel better. Maybe sunni knows more about this.

I just bought some more cheap shit but intend to invest next haircut after reading this thread...

I have tried this stuff before and it is incredible. The tea tree oil and mint tingle and invigorate the scalp. Wakes you up and pretty much improves your quality of life. My mom always used tea tree oil so I love the stuff.

organics from walmart, hempz from sallys beauty or online, i buy it from cosmoprof but only professional stylists can go in there.

its not good to wash your hair everyday strips the good oils and youll have to wash more frequently because it wil lmake your hair feel more greasy. its best to skip a day if it feels REALLY gross on a non wash day rinse it in conditioner.

Right on shows my instincts were correct.

Don't think most people know you shouldn't shampoo every time.
