Goodbye Moms - Starting new in 2014

What are some of the main benefits of neem oil; I only know it as a pesticide? What kind of setup do you keep your headstash moms in? I just took cuttings this grow to start mothers and made a home depot ebb n flo with the 27 gallon tough tote and 2x3 cement mixing tub. They are in 6" rw cubes flooding 4 times a day for 15 min with DG grow/protekt.

also... this year I will be exploring sannies and eskobar. Have extrema, jack, and mad scientist x jackberry in week 4 now.

Well, there's the pesticidal and fungicidal ones, for which I have always found it excellent, and then I've always found my plants looking healthier in general after neem. I've certainly never seen plants look worse from it. I think, since it is actually metabolized by the plant, that there's definitely some more beneficial things going on. Disregarding that, if spraying it once every 2 weeks keeps all my veg plants bug free, its more than worth it to me.

I keep moms in coco, because you can grow very large and thriving vegetative plants in 1-2 gallons of coco, and I hand water them once a day. It's a very easy setup, and it allows me to focus my energies on my flowering setup and the clones that will be moved in to it. but I've seen them in ebb and flows just fine. I use t5s for lighting for all my vegetative plants.

Silverfields and Pineapple Express this go. And my own creation which is Sugar Punch x Mad Shack or Black Widow (accidental creation ;) ).

I'm surprised to see you list Pineapple Express. It's so 2011. [ just kidding ]. But seriously....will this be a first date with PG? The consensus I see, with more than a few exceptions, is that she's usually good taste/avg potency, which was the case w/ 2 freebies a couple of years ago.

Yeah, my first run. I had someone whose opinion I trust highly recommend giving it a go. I've read a lot of folks somewhat disappointed, but then there are others who have had good luck. So far I haven't had good luck but they just started flowering so who knows what will happen.

My PEX hermied very badly but everything else about it was great so going to give it another try.

I know what you mean AO it is hard to decide what to keep around. I wish there was a better system for sharing clones. It would be nice to be able to retire a great cutting and then get it back a few years later as it makes it way around the growing community. Here in the east that can be very unreliable. My solution for now is to just keep cycling them all with no mothers, taking cuttings just before they go into 12/12 and then veg them back up. 13 I can't let go, 5 on the way out and 32 being tested, I think I have a problem.
