I personally don't care what types of guns that responsible, proficient people chose to own. I have a HUGE problem though with the idea of opening the flood gates and making it easier for any random quack to acquire guns.

So do I, I'm not against stricter gun control. I think it's a joke at how easy it is for me to obtain a handgun in my state and even more laughable at the concealed carry courses (which aren't even a requirement to conceal carry).
What Sanders is suggesting though is just as extreme as the people who think everyone should have access to full autos.

Yes telling a country of gun owners that he wants to ban 90% of what they own is an extreme stance.
Acting like banning semi autos will keep criminals from using them is an extreme stance.
Reducing law abiding citizens to revolvers and bolt action rifles while expecting criminals to adhere to the ban is an extreme stance.
Is he going to round up the millions of semi automatic firearms already in circulation? Good luck.
