And there she goes, I really can't get enough of that smell. Closet humidity is at a nice 49% and temps were 75F I believe, have my oscillating fan still on and set on low pointing slightly downward (away from the plant). Weight prediction is right around a quarter with this one as well. Might go get another cheap meter to place inside the jar.

Well, looks like I'm only going to get 3 days of drying time. If there was more/thicker buds, probably could have made it to the 5 days that I wanted. That and the plant was a runt, haven't measured but she's probably only 8-10 in. tall. Outside of the buds are getting crispy and the stem still bends, but does not break.

Cola never completely connected, disappointing but I blame that on myself for improper feeding. I'll be looking to manicure and jar as close to midnight as I can (3 day mark). If I think I can squeeze another day to air dry, I'll do that.

As for the next grow, I'll be working on the rubbermaid cab, hopefully over the next couple days. Still browsing around trying to get some inspiration on the light set up. I would like my lights to be adjustable, but it's looking more like they'll have to be stationary. Not too bad of a thing, just have to move the plants instead.

Any opinion on the size of the tub I should use for 2 plants? I don't want to go to big because I probably won't be able to surround the lights like I have with the last grows, and I want the mylar to play its role.

nothing to blame here man... :) just a natural process of learning...

hm, after reading your input about drying I am feeling like I should rethink my drying habits, cause I just leave it in a closet for 7 days, then check if the stem breaks and if yes just cut the buds from stem into the jar, dunno whether they are ready after 4 or 6 days lol

If that works for you bro, stick with it. Plus, your getting more weight and thicker stems, so yours is going to take longer. For example I'm almost 3 days into drying and I have stems already breaking when I bend them, and the outsides of the buds are getting crispy. Not to mention the environment they are in plays a big part.

Well, I went ahead and picked up two 18 gallon storage bins. Those will get lined with some mylar tonight. Will be buying one of those cheap inline fans from home depot or lowes, possibly tomorrow. After I line it with mylar I will be figuring out my light system and from there, finding the perfect spot to cut the hole for the exhaust. Oh, and I will be using 2 or 3 computer fans for intake.

Was considering buying a single larger bin for a veg cab, but don't want to invest too much in this as I'll be looking to move out of my current house no later than the end of this year. Veg cab would only be around 40 bucks but, that's 40 bucks I can put towards my next seed order.

hm, I don't know if it works, you know how it is around here, it always can be better, just need to read follow and learn.. But yeah your situation is quite different from mine..

Anyway, looking forward for some pics, really difficult to imagine how you are going to make grow rooms out of 18gal bins :)

Best of luck!

As long as I can control the heat...I'll be glad to show you.

Waiting to pick up my check to buy that fan because I work at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning and also, I had some fuck trying to break into my house the other day, while I was home. You can't tell when I'm home or not, my shits in the garage, can't even be seen through the window. Anyway, he didn't even make it passed the screen on the window (he was literally trying one window 5 minutes, I watched). I spooked em' when I was hauling ass for my wooden bat that was in the next room. Lucky.

But yea, that's how it goes. And back to something we love. The EJ is ready for jars, about to go in and grab her and manicure away. This is at 3 1/2 days. All the little stuff, stems are breaking and the outsides are dry. The main stem is still bending and the cola is probably where most of the remaining moisture is (though the outsides are still pretty dry).

Anyone think I should let it hang til' I just about have to go to bed? I definitely wanted to let it go 4 but, that would be midnight and, you know, work in the morning. So, what I'm asking is, does it sound like I should let it go another 8 hours?

I decided to wait the 8-9 hours (started trimming around 9pm the other night). First two burps were after 8 hours, 30 minutes each. So far, so good. Tomorrow I'll probably extend the time, keeping the jars closed for probably closer to 10 hours but keep the burp time to 30 minutes.

Just a little update on the new grow box. I have it line with mylar and put a light in there and turned it on, can't see shit from the outside (that's what's up). Haven't quite got the lights how I want them, so I'll be continuing to work on that when I get off work tomorrow night. Still browsing around for a fan as well, not sure exactly what I should go with, thinking a 100cfm should do the job decently.

Hoping to have this up and running by Tuesday night.

Alright, I'm trying to have this thing up and running and at a nice temp before I have to go into work tomorrow. Not popping any beans til' I have the heat under control. I want to run at least 6 bulbs, 5 of which will be the 40 watters (all used from last two grows). I figure in such a small space, this should be plenty, as well as mylar being fully introduced this time. With that decision made, I also decided to not go spend 30 bucks on a fan. I felt it would be a waste of money seeing as I have about 5 pc fans. They are kind of weak (20 cfm max, very old), but with proper placement and introducing all of them, should work well.

Wasn't able to work on this at all yesterday so I'm a bit behind. Only thing I have left to buy is a small oscillating fan that will fit in there with (2) 2 gallon pots (if I can fit (2) 2 gallon pots), and the 2 gallon pots. Might buy a new bulb or two as well. I'll try to take some crappy pictures, kinda like a step-by-step deal.

HAH! It'll get done, if not sooner, then later.

I forgot about the vibration these fans will cause when it hits the plastic. The only solution I could think of that would be free, is maybe cutting some cardboard to fit between the two. Got any better ideas for me?

i have no idea how u gonna make everything, not talking about how to come up with some solution lol... but, i got 6" clip fan, and its not that vibrating as you would expect it to be... prob depends on an item.. also what u could do maybe put it on a ground and direct it upward? but really i might be imagining something completely different from what u want to make :)

I was referring to the pc fans. Those will be attached to the bins. I'll try my idea, if it doesn't work that well I'll get my hands on some rubber erasers or something like that. Either way I have to also come up with a way to seal the open space that this will cause. That way I'm getting as much use of the fans as I should.

Working on the box now. Had to redo the mylar on the sides where the handles are. I didn't like the amount of wrinkles in the mylar. These blankets aren't the easiest things to work with (first time using them). Have my lights figured out, just trying to get the sides redone and then the holes for the fans.

Just thought I'd let everyone know since it's been a few days.

Had to work the past couple of days so I haven't been able to work on the box. Good news is I have the next two days off, going to get it DONE. Decided to go with just one plant too. IMO, more beneficial with this set up to run only one (light and space).

yeah, sometimes less is more :)) well good luck on it!
Exactly. So just one Ganesh. But, the box WILL be done tomorrow and as soon as it's done, I'll drop the bean in a paper towel. That mylar was a pain in the ass, so there are wrinkles, just couldn't seem to avoid em.
