Got down to 29 F — what to expect?

About the temperature of a six pack of good beer on the way out. ;)
LOL, seriously? That will save me some trouble if I can just take a leak on the roots... Would all the nitrates and shit hurt the plant or is it too late to worry about that now?

I’m trying to think, but I might have read somewhere that plastic in contact with leaves will hurt the plant?

so should it be hot to the touch, warm, lukewarm?

not autos, tho I may try those next year to avoid all this hassle with bud rot and frosts!
I think the plastic maybe might touch it, but I basically put a long ass stick in the dirt and put the bag over it, like a boner in the blankets.

I don't suppose you could order and get this in time, but it's a great product...

Thanks. What do you consider the “do not cross” threshold temperature-wise?
when it starts getting into the 50s at night..that really slows down the plants metabolism, it's only really worth it to keep going if the days are still getting over 75. if it's dropping into the 50s at night and only getting into the 60s in the day, progress will be so slow as to not be worth it anymore, to me, any way

That’d be tough going here in Oregon — it drops into the 50s at night even during summer. We’re known for warm days and cool nights. But yeah, now that daytime temperatures are in the 60s, I’m basically getting zero development. I’ll probably chop most of my stuff tomorrow before it starts raining again.

It has been 50 F at most here for the last while, I still left the plants out because of the sunny days, at 40F I was bringing them in as they are in pots. If we still has sunny days at this temperature I would still keep them out but it looks like they will be going into my indoor grow space. Forecast is saying freezing temperatures in the daytime with no sun for the next week.

I’m thinking next year I will keep my plants pruned like bonsais to a very specific size and shape, so I can just slip a garbage can or mini-greenhouse over them if it’s cold or rainy. I don’t need a huge amount of weed so I don’t mind the lower yield — would be nice to have it more manageable and not deal with quality problems like this year!
