Got down to 29 F — what to expect?

It's hard to say just how much yet... I was making seeds with almost all of my plants, and was able to bring the long flowering sativas in, but had to leave the more indica dominant plants out due to space. The good news is that because seeds were the main focus of this grow, the quality of the buds wasn't going to be great anyway, and with the indicas, they have been with seed for a while now, so even though every plant was destroyed, which was 19 plants, most should have had enough time for the seeds to ripen enough to still be useful. I'll have to wait and see though. And even though the buds are nasty now, i think i could still get a buzz off of them if i cooked with them or something like that.
Nice, good to hear it wasn’t a total loss. When you say “destroyed” — did they just turn to mush or get hella brown?

You kind of have to experience it to really know, but they are extremely brown, wilted, and rubbery to the point of almost being goopy. And like i said before, they smell like rotten vegatation... not like marijuana anymore. Once dried they might have some weed smell, but i'm pretty sure it will always have that bad-vegatable smell with it.

Here is a comparison with some that are still good.

This was healthy and vibrant green with beautiful white buds- overnight turned to this... It looks dry, but it isn't- it is actually somewhat wet and glue-y to the touch, and is very difficult to cut through the once crisp stems of the fanleaves... like soft rubber.

One of the sativas i couldn't bring in due to its height... as with all of them, was perky and green before the cold got it... It will stay like this until it dries.
Hope this is helpful

Wow that looks rough. What do you plan to do with it? I’m assuming the trichomes are still salvageable somehow, right?

Does anyone think i should harvest this plant today or should i wait a little longer. Im gonna be gone for a week or so. So if i dont harvest today she will have to stay in the ground for a week n i know we got a frost coming this friday
How low is it supposed to go? Mine has gotten thru 29F relatively pain-free. Do you have it in pots or in the ground? If in pots, I’d say take it inside and let it out when it’s warmer and drier. You’ll get high off of that but it will be pretty fluffy. Also, gotta consider how much time you got left to grow. If it’s a freak freeze you’re facing in SoCal, it’s another thing than if you’re in Alberta. I don’t say exactly where I am on here except western oregon, toward the top. That should give us an idea without being too specific.

Also, I’ve been getting RIPPED off of shitty early harvested weed from like a month ago. Yea I smoke a whole joint or bowl to get high but I don’t really give a fuck.

The real professional growers on here are hella cool but for half-assed potheads who just want something to puff on, harvesting early is OK.

I am not gonna rip anyone off by harvesting early, it’s all going in my tummy (lungs) anyway so I don’t particularly give a fuck about producing top shelf shit.

If you’re facing a total crop loss, then fuck yes, harvest. If not, hang on bro. I’m drunk anyway and rambling so not being combative but just wanna say some of us are low-rent and shitty weed can go a long way.

anyway I’m no expert so who gives a Fuck

Being wasted and admitting it deserves much respect LOL

yeah, i don't know- i'm not an expert with extraction or anything like that, so i'll probably just make some butter or oil or something and make cookies or brownies or something along those lines.
