Cops do that bullshit all the time. There is a difference between a dog who has an aggressive stance and one that is just simply curious. Did you pursue any charges against them?

Oh my dog wasnt curious,he wanted their asses & if he coulda got to them first there woulda been hell to pay,he lept on the door & was trying to ram through it to get to them,he wasnt passive by any means.
The thing is that he was in my home behind a locked security screen door & no threat to them,they woulda needed a battering ram to crash that door.
I briefly thought of pushing the matter but as a two time convicted felon with a prison record it was best to just let shit blow over.

Regardless they should have let you handle the situation. That would have broken my heart. Yeah it was probably best you let it go. They probably would have found something/anything to quiet you down.

Lmfao! Yes. He rarely ever barks but he's always moaning about something. It's hillarious, and yes he does make his occasional odd dinosaur noises. It's pure comedy gold. Man they hate everything, and you can't win. Even when they act contrary to the myths they even hate that! Then they try and validate there stupidity by saying shit like "He doesn't intimidate me at all." Or "Usually im afraid of them but not him." That's when you know they've never even been around a "Piggy"

Come on, how often do you read about someone getting killed by labradors... Heck yeah they love to bite anything that runs... been the victim of a few ankle bites in my life, but also once was bitten by a pitbull on the knee... hit me so hard I fell down... luckily their heads are softer than bricks...
We have very regular human deaths here from pitbuls... I do not believe they offer any safety, a clever criminal will poison that dog in under 2 minutes... here they use something called two-step... basicaly the dog will take two steps and fall over...
P.S. I am not a dog hater, but I dislike people who breed these things...
I used to train many dogs including big ones like great danes...

You dislike people who breed these things? They're Amazing dogs. The dogs you mention are ones trained improperly. Pitbulls are non-human aggressive, and even a good respectable breeder will not sale or keep one that is showing that type of behavior. Pitbull breeders euthanize there own stock to ensure that the proper breeding characteristics are in order. That's like saying we should only ban long guns because they do more damage. You can survive a handgun wound much more easilly so those are perfectly fine. That's the same logic you use. It's okay to be bitten by a lab because the chances of survival are better despite the fact they routinely show a lower temperament, and probably bite more often. They're powerful dogs, and capable of alot of damage, but we should destroy all of them for a few isolated incidents? There are millions of APBT's worldwide and they all should be eradicated over 50-70 attacks?
Most APBT's are just like my guy. Loyal, loving, playful, and intelligent. I've never had an incident with an APBT, but i've been bitten by other more "Tame" breeds. They can never be blamed for anything they do. The owner is responsible. If you treated a human like shit, guess what he's gonna turn out like shit. Just like anything else.

QOUTED FOR FUCKING TRUTH! The worst dog bite ive had required 6 stitches across my hand, and that was from a fucking retreiver ( not a golden but one of the other ones). Those are supposed to be nice dogs should we kill all of them too? I've been around pits since I was a kid and still havent met a mean one.
I have a mostly Pit bull, little-bit-o-black lab mix and she is wonderful. I too had a preconcieved notion about Pit Bulls. They are about the most affectionate, loving gentle dogs you can own - not so nervous and hyper as labs can be.
They do tend to be territorial and will defend your home from strangers by nature, which is their job in my opinion.

You know that was a mistake Ski. He accidentally bit you while you guys were playing tug of war. You shouldn't have gotten him all hyped it. It's no way a breed like a retriever would ever try to hurt you. They're too cuddly.

Same here. My wifes family dog is a pitbull, and prior to meeting him I thought pits were dangerous, and couldn't be trusted. So I met him, and things were great. Met his brother...still no problems. Then I was hanging out with my cousin who's friend happens to be a breeder. He just had a bitch give birth. So here we are walking around this bitch who is nursing, and the male wont even look at us twice. He walks up to us introduces himself...not one ounce of aggression. That really changed my mindset.
They're fantastic, and people who despise them simply don't know them, and don't want to know them either.
They only hate them because they're beautiful.

That's what I have - an American Pit Terrier - she's gentle and sweet unless she does not know you and you try to come in my house or yard when we are not there... then she is pretty scary... completely cured my neighbor from an irritating habit of just walking in the front door without knocking being let in.
The amazing this is that she is 100% submissive to me all the family and our friends that she knows - she is scared to death of getting me mad, but 100% fearless of strangers.
