I don't kno if it was a hermie or just pollinated by a male. I kno my friend looked through all the buds in the qp jus to look for seeds and this is all he found. I only cracked one and it turned out felmale so it could of been left flowering longer than it should, cause couldn't that make feminized seeds?I do kno that the buds were picture perfect gdp buds. And I also read that gdp is a indica dominate strain with almost to no sativa in it.which is what mine clearly is showing by being so short and bushy with huge fat fan leaves. Also I have been pulling 1.5-2 zips off other bagseed and a nice local dro. I've only had three plants flowering at once and I figured I would use my light to its full potential. I figured I would veg this one as a mother then clone off her. I've read a sog grow with a similar 8 bulb t5 ho that grew 16 plants but in smaller pots. So I figured 8 in 5 gallon buckets filled to about 4 gallons of soil would be alright. After this grow I'm going to grab a 600w hps jus for flowering and ill use my t5 just for veg and clones. Any input guys??

Mrstickyfingers- love the grow journal for your gdp. Any advise for my girls?
thank you. with that pheno type they wont get over 2 and a half feet tall which is nice. The phenotype I have right now gets 4 feet tall so I have to supper crop and top things like that when I would rather let them go. If I were you I would supper crop as your vegging. other than that the strain is fucking strong you can pretty much do anything to it and it will still thrive. the only thing I can say that works hella gud is humboldt gravity. that I know for a fact.. oh yeah i forgot I would also take all the lower branches off like the little ones about 6 inchs up the bottom of your plant. people bitch about that little hairy bud also its a bitch to trim. gud luck

How on earth can you determine the pheno by looking at a photo????

It wasn't just looking at the plant it was knowing the facts about how it grows and the bud that I had was perfect..my friend has legit bud from cali as he goes back and fourth all the time. He nor I are ones to just give a dro a name. I do my research on it and make sure bud I get is legit.

MrSticky- I've been giving it teas made from cow poo for nitrogen as its super high in n also for bloom I have humboldt bloom and it always makes a differemce when I use it.

iv been growing grand daddy for years and have came across 3 different phenotypes. im not saying for sure that thats the exact phenotype that I had but from my experience with that strain theres sum that are short and bushy and theres sum thats hella tall. theres also one that gets sickly pretty easy. they all grow a little different and by looking at that one if its grand daddy I would say its like one of those 3 phenotypes that I had.

303- if someone has legit ass gdp from cali where clones are a dime a dozen and its picture perfect and grows exactly how its supposed to then how is it that I don't have gdp?

Yea man cheap and simple- at first I thought it was messed up cause t5s run really cool and then I tested it by setting it outside and checking with another temp gauge and relized that it was jus poor circulation in my closet...but the window unit fixed it completely now I can open the closet door are direct all the air to it and bring the temps to like 73 with lights on and 60 with them off

It seems to take forever to produce roots for my clones. I'm using a powder and putting it into rapid rooters. Could this be from cutting with scisors instead of razor blades?

Possibly, I don't really notice much of a difference in growth after cutting with a razor versus scissors. I go the cheap way and root mine in cups of water only. I cut them near the main stem and down the middle like normal, cut off a few leaf tips, and they all usually root within 2 weeks for me. No cloning powders/hormones, just straight cuttings and tap water. You should try doing a few different methods at once, like take some and put some powder on a few, then a few more do it without the powder. You could try the way I do mine as well, so far I've taken six clones with this method and haven't lost a single plant. I use scissors to cut for the most part, and my plants have always done fine.

Heres a link to the method I've been using if you're intrested.
