Green dragon white stuff (if in wrong section lmk)

Hi, í had like an ounce of trim and some popcorn buds so í tried to make green dragon. I forgot to decarb and grind everything before putting the (80 proof vodka) alcohol in, so í ground and decarbed some more and threw it in a day or two later (it's been in for 5 days now.. 4 since the decarbed) and put it back in its cool dark place. I went to shake it today and noticed this white stuff floating in it above the layer of trim at the bottom of the alcohol...please tell me it will still be okay, í could have made some bangin' butter with that.
Also if this is in the wrong section please let me know, í was going to put this in with "cooking with cannabis" but chose this since the thc is extracted into the alcohol.

Thanks everyone in advance for the answers/help. Picture below20181126_153313.jpg

not sure what that is. can't be mold, in a jar full of alcohol. did you ever use any kind of pesticides or anything like that on that plant? might be something that was on the leaves and popcorn?

I never did use pesticides but it might have been carried by the wind? I was researching this and someone said that mold can grow in low proof alcohol but I'm not sure í really believe that (haven't looked yet) maybe, í found a green worm in one or two of the buds so í wouldn't be surprised if it's Just bits of silk í couldn't see, which if so, it should filter out right? Aside from that, do you think that the color is decent and í have read people letting it sit for at least a week and í read that if you let it sit longer than a week then you are just letting unneeded stuff dissolve in the tincture. How do you do it/what has your experience with time experimenting?

i don't make tincture often. it lasts a long time. i don't grind mine up, but i do break it up pretty good, fill my jar about half way with my popcorn/trim, then fill the jar with everclear. i put it in a dark cabinet, and give it a shake and turn it over once a day for a month.
then i filter and bottle it, and store the bottles in the fridge till i use it. the droppers in my bottles hold two ml., and it usually takes me two of them to get a good buzz. i can feel one dropper, but its not enough

i've been reading about keeping it in the freezer while it steeps, and shaking it good daily, supposed to speed up the process, only takes two weeks, and supposedly keeps a lot of the chlorophyll and other water soluble stuff from leaching out as much. will try this the next time i make any

Awesome!! I think í will throw it in the freezer today then. Got curious and tested it last night, í took something like a shot and felt the affects pretty well, stuck me to a table í was sitting on for half an hour. But that's way more than should be needed. Also, its been in for 6 days now since í started it and 4 since the last time í put plant material in it, think í should go from the last time í added material or go with when í first started it?

i don't think the two days is going to make much difference. when you test it, hold it under your tongue as long as you can, lots of blood vessels there, and that's where a medicinal tincture is traditionally applied, so it can be absorbed as quickly as possible. if you drink it, you'll still get a buzz, but more like traditional edibles, won't set in as quick, or be as intense

You should use 180 proof everclear... when letting my winterized bho evaporate similar white will appear and that is just the 5% of water left from the everclear
well, there ya go. yeah. i've never tried with anything but everclear, i guess it would work, but probably take quite a bit longer

I tested it and took a shot of it (didn't have a dropper and said fuck it) and got stuck to the table í was sitting on for a while.
I took it out of the freezer because everything í have been reading has said to use cold to knock off the trichs and heat to absorb it in the alcohol. *shrug*

I didn't have the money for that sadly :/ í know the higher proof the more efficient but...ya. Like Roger said, it will probably just take a while, only been a total of 9 days and it's already pretty decent. Here are some pictures of what it's like now (all the same stuff) in the dropper í found.....it won't let me upload more than one image, keeps popping up saying to log in.

I get the same white stuff in my tincture. I think it’s the husks too, but don’t know for sure.
Also, I decarb an ounce of weed.. in mason jar, in oven at 245 for about 35 minutes.. plus or minus a couple minutes, depends on the weed.
Then I let the jar cool, add about 350-400 ml of Everclear, but for only 3 minutes. It comes out so much better than letting it sit. Unless I’m missing something..??
Anyways, I get the same white stuff with my method.

40% vodka has much more water than 95% Everclear! Should still be able to get rid of it. Just going to take longer than usual. But that's what it is.

The picture looks like precipitated plant wax. Have you checked the consistency to see if it is waxy?

The beige liquid that you get when evaporating away the alcohol from an alcohol extraction is a mixture of water, alcohol, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
