I've been looking around for higher quality nutrients lately. I currently use jacks hydro and it's served me well, but in the back of my mind I always wonder if I'm missing out on something. Now, I know there is grades to the nutrients used in this stuff, and I'm not 100% sure if jacks already uses a high quality mineral source or not. What really set me to wanting to try new things is I just recently used cyco supa sticky. My local shop gave me a free bottle (they wont carry it because they think the company is nonsense, they just had free bottles) But I swear my stuff actually got more sticky.

My guy at the shop said that it's likely because cyco uses a higher quality mineral source that's more bioavailable than jacks, sure enough they advertise pharmaceutical grade minerals.

Anyway, this story brings me to greenleaf. I happened to see them mentioned in another thread and headed over to the site. They use amino acid chelated minerals for their trace minerals, it include silica, enzymes, aminos, kelp, and chitosan. It looks pretty good, and the price is LOWER than jacks. I can't be running things like advanced nutrients, I have 250 gallons of rez I need to fill in my system, so the nutrient line needs to be on the cheaper side.

Has anyone used greenleaf? Anyone have any anecdotal comparisons or pics they can offer up here? My searching hasn't pulled up much about them.

I had a complete run with only MegaCrop, tap water and H2o2. Great results, inexpensive, simple to use and works great in hydroponics (i use it in flood and drain). You can check my sig link for pics and info. I log the entire MegaCrop grow there with info, ppm, pH, and pictures. Its good enough that I quit buying GH 3 part and bought another bag.

does anyone use the sweet candy in a hydro like setup? I'm in a titan flow and grow and have been suggested to try using a carb supplement. I run jacks with mammoth p and NPK industries microbes right now. Figure the sweet candy has carbs, b vitamins and aminos

I have it "sweet candy" Its on point and if I were to add anything to MC it would be this. Its a little harder to dissolve vs MC but it worth the ensuing snow storm.

Red right from 12/12 1 gpg + MC. @GreenleafNutrients said it was something that couldn't be added in the MC formulation and had to be a separate additive. I had a grow friend running it with MC when I was doing my test run of just MC and I Really! like what I saw. My Scrog of CWK is going to get the SC treatment along with the MC and will use it from here on out.

Note: A lot of bud enhancers out there such as Bud Candy, Snow storm ultra, Terpinator etc. are very expensive. My test run of just MC showed me I didn't need anything such as PK boosters but the Sweet Candy really brought out the terps and frost and is very cost effective compared.

Mega Crop along with there Sweet Candy reminds me a lot of the Advanced Nutriants lineup as far as results go "I've run it before" Only it is a lot cheaper and in dry form.

It looks like you're running coco drip to waste? Just wondering if the sweet is going to cause issues in my flow and grow in hydroton. I use my microbes directly in the root zone anymore rather than dosing the rez, I think I would do the same with the candy. Dose it direct at each bucket site with my microbes, I don't want to end up slimed out from filling my rez with microbes and sugars.

With your setup up though once it floods the buckets then draws the water back it then will contain all of it in the Rez

The hydro Halos are more of a spray "streams" than a drip DTW. My rez does get a little slimy but I have pre filters on the pumps and a inline filter that I clean every rez change. Small rez 8 gal one a week.

I see no reason to add anything other than mammoth p that’s I run veg+bloom and how I’ll run MC. They have everything in there. I love keeping things simple.

I have GreenLeaf Nurtients 'Bud Explosion' i plan on using the first 2 weeks of flowering for a boost and 'Red Line' from them as well for the final 3 weeks of budding. I also have some Cal-Mag just in case I need it as some people reported a slight deficency at the end of flowering. Everything I have is from GreenLeaf Nutrients, trying to keep it in-house so to say. Only thing I was going to add was a few waterings with molassis here and there and like I said it will be in soil outdoors.
