Alright ladies and gentlemen, here we go again!!! for those that followed my last jelly pie journal, you guys should really enjoy this! I'm doing the same method as last time, my recycled organic living soil, in my new and improved SIP pot made from a tote!

I received this legendary cut! this is a true cut of Josey whales gorilla glue #4! something I've grown many crosses of but never had the opportunity to grow the legendary cut itself!

I'm gunna post a few msgs to start this if you guys don't mind give me about 30 min to start this off before posting I appreciate it! but after that feel free to post or ask any questions!

I would like to go ahead and give credit! a lot of the guys on here that have helped me get where I'm at, with tons of help and info, there's way to many to name, but thank you all!

OK I'll start off with the basics and what I do and how I do it!

like I said I use a recycled living organic soil (I'll post my recipie below) I've had this soil for about 5 years now! it only gets better each run, so who ever says your soil is trash after one run of true organics is full of shit! I'm living proof!

not on the list, is dolomite lime, I've found my recipie must have it! and also EM1, and gro-Kashi but it doesn't go in my mix!CM180729-003541001.jpg

alright I am going to use a home made SIP pot made from a tote, I've had two runs and "experiments" with this sip pot, I think I've almost perfected it! It uses the best of both worlds! Hydro and Organics, the way it's built I get the benefits of organics which give me better terp profiles, and other benefits from the microbes and life in my soil!!! For the Hydro side I also get "water roots" which is the advantage of hydro! and this allows plants to grow much faster and much bigger in less time! Not to mention this is the absolute easiest and least work when growing that I've ever seen! I fill my rez once every two weeks and nothing else!!! I don't check any ph, I don't have to add any nutes, no top dressing literally nothing!!! I just add water and Em1 every two weeks and sit back and reap the rewards!!!

below is my new and improved sip pot, I added a Lil more room to the rez to hold more water, and I'm also putting a bunch of Tiny holes in the bottom floor so the roots can reach into the rez a lot easier!

The new pot isn't finished so I'll post pics of the old one as well!

Finally the reason you all came here, THE TRUE GORILLA GLUE CUT!

For those that don't know cuts can be mailed, lol found this out to my surprise and they arrived in incredible health, about 3 days ago! when she showed up she had an amazing set of roots on her, I gave her 12 hrs of very low light, then 24 hrs later I transplanted into a half g pot with my rols soil. I dusted the bottom of the pot with mykos and azos (I've found they are amazing together)

pics below are the girl the day she arrived and pics every day since!!!

feel free to post now! I will be doing weekly"ish" updates all the way to the end but it will be a while before flowing!!

Day 0

OK guys I realized I didn't fully explain how I set up my sip pot. Once my organic soil is in the pot (few weeks before I transplant the girl in it) I dust the top layer with Gro-Kashi and let a nice thick layer of mycelium grow in! I will top dress that with bu's compost once, in about 4-6 weeks, I only do this twice! also these sip pots require a lot of dolomite lime to keep a nutrual pH for the entire grow I add at least 3 cups per pot just to make sure, my dolomite lime has extra cal and mag in it, just a tad Lil boost!

as for the bottom and rez, I take turns feeding plain (well water) bubbled water, and each other time I mix in about 2-3 cups of Em1( don't forget to expand ur em, saves a lot of money)

this allows the top of my pot to be fungal dominated, and the bottom (I think) to be bacteria doninated! em1 is anaerobic so I don't use any air pumps or anything in the rez! and also the middle is where all the magic happens! tons of life and an entire (almost) soil food Web lives here!!

if anyone knows that I'm wrong about the above statement(fungal, bacteria) plz set me straight I could be wrong about the em1

the benefits of this sip go on for ever! like I said I get the best of all worlds! the organics allow me to get the best tasting buds I can get, and the water roots allow amazing growth literally twice as fast as any other method I've ever tried!! and to top it all off it has the lowest maintenence ever, it may take a Lil more work to set up but once it is, everything is on cruise control for the rest of the ride! I find it super nice to not have to do anything for weeks at a time! sometimes I play around any way, but there is no need! just make sure your rez is topped off, and the life of the sip pot does everything else! So let's have some fun and do the dam thing!!!

I highly advise everyone to just give it a try and find out for yourself!!! this method is truly something special!

looks good buddy which way do they seem to lean stardawg, or the grape!!

the grape phenos tend to purple alot, and fast! but all of them had some amazing taste, but lacked yield big time! my pack was an even compromise of all, every one was different I kept 2 phenos of it! at least for now!!! only bad thing I can say about them was the yield, it was truly a shitty yield! but over all I was happy!

Good to know on yield, we'll see- so i only have one JP , she's pretty piney/lemony? No diesel. The two blizard bushes are more diesel one and skunk the other. Three different phenos for sure! :)

if she starts purpling about 3 or so weeks until finishing then she's a grape leaner for sure, but all of mine did turn shades of purp. just the grape leaners did it faster!

but if you have any more questions or anything just shoot me a msg on the jelly pie thread I made, theres a link above as u know lol! I'm trying to keep this thread mostly about my sip pot and the gg4 just in case someone is looking for that info! but you have some good looking girls man!

Real interesting. I take the cup in the bottom of the toat rests on the bottom of the toat, is full of compost and is used to draw moisture up into the rest of the media? How do you monitor water level? I take if you want roots in the water area you don't want to let it dry out?

well in the last two runs I actually hot glued a small cup in the center, and yes it went all the way down to the bottom, and acted like a wick! I just use my regular soil to fill that! this time I'm actually looking for other options! last round when I emptied the pot, I had found that the em1 literally ate off the glue, so I'm trying to go a different route this time, if you got any suggestions I'm all ears! I thought about just cutting the hole a perfect size and just sitting it in there, but idk!

as for when I know it's empty, I kinda don't other than lifting the whole thing, but if you look closely on the second pic of the sip pics, you can see I have a "fill hole" basically once I'm filling the rez and it gets to max level with water, it will start pouring out that Lil hole and then I know to stop filling! unfortunately I have not figured out a way to tell if it's gone dry other than just topping it off! I'm still working on that one lol! great questions man! hope I cleared some things up!

thankfully I've got a few weeks to a month or so before I'll be planting in the sip, so it gives me time to try out a few things! but I'm slowly converting my entire grow to this! NO MORE SMART POTS! LOL it's just stupid how fast my girls grow in these things! they literally grow twice as big in half the time! and there is no dam work lol! I'll show you guys a side by side later on in this thread! just need to find two exact girls or maybe do two clones! and I'll prove it to yall!

for the flower room right now I had to put buckets(roughly 7in tall) under all my smart pots to raise them up, I had to place the light as high as it goes, bc the sip just took off! I've got older and exact clones in smart pots, that get tons of love, and there are still half the size! I'll try to get some good pics later and show you guys! and despite raising the smart pots, the girl in the sip is still the tallest out of them all!

You could try using a 3" holesaw and a 3" net cup. The cup has a rim that will catch the edge, and it fits perfectly in the 3" hole. The nice thing about net cups is that they're open all the way around, so it'd work very well for wicking.

what's a holesaw? is it a saw that cuts holes? the net cup is a good idea tho I didn't think of that!

sorry not trying to sound that stupid, I honestly didn't know but now that I read it again it is kinda obvious, I just use a razor knife, it works great and I can get a perfect circle, I'm gunna check out the net pots, only thing that concerns me is I'm thinking too much soil will fall out of that! when i make my Lil cup thing i cut very small slits in it! but thank you for the idea, I will look into this!
