if you are growing hydro then the plant will grow faster then in soil. what type of setup are you using?

all in all you are going to be a while before you get your bud. each strain has a pretty well predicted flowering cycle from 6 weeks all the way up to 12 weeks there isnt any way around that.

more lights will benefit you in some ways..
but for growing faster.. i don't know..
people have debated over the light cycles..
i think 18/6 is the best to do..
plants should have their rest time too..

all i can say is, patience will show..
impatience will have you think it's growing slow..
just wait it out & check on them every 2 days..
or every ending of the day, rather than every 5 minutes..
you know what i mean? lol

good luck & best wishes to you & your grow :D

The best thing to do is be patient. Have good lights. Water the plants(if in soil). Using nutes when its 3+weeks. And thats almost it.

well im going to grow a bonsai, get it nice and hearty for the grow season. its a small pot, my intention is to root bound it, and trim but mostly just bound. i have it on a 12/12 so i will switch, and because the pot is so small i have to water it a lot. its 1 plant so the cfl i have on it will stay. i am twisting the stem and i want more to work with. i dont think ill get good buds off the plant thanks for youre suggestions.
my setup is
1 120 V cfl
1 computer fan
1 cardboard box

sounds like you're trying to do an LST grow..
unless i am mistake by the "twisting" of the stem..

but, be careful with the cardboard box..
make sure you test it before fully using it..
burning your plant is one thing.. but your house? not smart..
you don't know the spectrum on the bulb?
you will definitely need more lights later..
i'm pretty sure 1 bulb wont get you through it all..

anyway, i hope for the best on your grow man :D

read this -> LST 101 GROW

it's low stress training..
long story short..
it's a grow that has a decent yield..
& it's a fairly small grow..
if you're limited on space..

that's the grow i'm doing now..
instead of one big cola or two..
you get a couple of colas..

but, nevermind..
i thought that's what you were talking about..
when you said "twisting" the stem.. lol

No he's not doing any standard method of growing, what the hell are you doing? Trying to ask in as nice a voice as possible but with a stunned blank look on my face cause I just don't get it.

What's the point? Are you trying to grow a pot plant or are you trying to make a bonsai tree? Pot plants DIE after 8-12 weeks of flowering, it is not a plant that's suitable for any bonsai. You have it on 12/12, that means you are in flowering.

Are you trying to keep a tiny mother plant? Are you trying to grow tiny buds for little elfen type people that live under your house?

you can make weed plants live 40+ if you do it right i read up on it. its mostly a novelty. if i can get any bud off of it, great. if not.. to bad. im going to use it for clones in 5 months

You're all confused though. Nothing you say makes sense it doesn't work that way.

You either take it out of 12/12 and never get bud and it never dies and can be a mother, or you leave it on 12/12 get tiny buds and it dies. You probably won't make it too long if the pot is so tiny you have to water constantly anyway, you'll end up with root rot or accidentally let it go too dry and die. Death will be coming soon either way I'd guess.

Lastly clones are best off full size healthy plants with big leaves, spindly little things with tiny leaves are going to be a whole lot harder to clone successfully, I don't see you pulling off any cloning if you haven't got the experience and don't let it get bigger first.

You haven't really done enough research to know how to grow or care for these plants, even though they are weeds you won't make it at this rate but it's your choice if you want to just screw around and do everything wrong.

I also don't see the connection with the title of this post, wanting faster growth, with the idea of making a bonsai. Bonsai and fast growth are mutually exclusive.

I can see you making it through flowering though if you let it finish, you're already in flower you say so probably don't have too long to go, 6 weeks maybe.

Yea I often come across that way, sorry, unintentional.

I wouldn't take so much time typing if that was my intention I'd just say it that way straigt out. I'm trying to correct you and give you the basic information you lack. I've spent time typing things out... Have some respect for my trying at least.

im going to trim the roots too though. ill put it in a bigger pot so i dont need to water as much.. and take it out of 12/12 like i said i would

cool, good luck.

Sorry about all the attitude, I have a lot of misdirected anger that I really don't mean to let slip in but I can be a prick lately with all the stress going on. Things are not so good over here...

yeah, i'm pretty much lost..

all i can say is..
if you want to grow something that extravagant..
wait till june or something & grow outdoors..
but, i doubt you have that opportunity..
knowing/thinking you're not certified for that..

i would just stick to a regular grow man..
growing & maintaining a mother plant..
& taking clones off of her as you go..
just to flower the clones & get buds..
simple as that..
with a mother you can get bud every 2-3 months..
if you do it the right way that is..

either way, good luck with the grow my friend..
