Yesterday afternoon, I transplanted the three of my plants that were able to stand on their own into 6" pots using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. While I was moving the shortest plant, I discovered that this plant did not have a short stem, as I had thought, but had it's stem buried horizontally underneath the soil. This was exactly the same problem that the staked plant have. The only difference is that a stem is not twisted on the transplanted plant. Will this partially buried stem cause a problem later?
The plants all looked a little droopy after being transplanted. The ph of the soil was approx. 7 and a small amount of water was added.
I also added a DIY CO2 bottle to the cabinet using a 2 Litter bottle (with a hole in the cap), active baking yeast and sugar. In addition to the DIY CO2, I also added 2 more 23W CFLs (6500K) to the cabinet which brings the total to 10 23W CFLs (6500K). I also have some 26W CFLs (2700K) that I plan on using for flowering. What do you guys think about replacing at least a couple of the 6500K CFLs with 2700K CFLs? It has been about 2 weeks since the seedling first broke the surface of the soil.
After having a night to adjust to their new homes, the kids all look a less droopy. Some of the leaves now have an orange/dark orange color. Could this be a nute def? I have the trio of Fox Farm nutes and right now I'm considering starting Grow Big this Thursday (3rd week). Any thoughts about using the nutes?
