Have 4 x 5 home made insulated 7 ft high. Led ceramic metal halide six inch intake from first floor exhaust 6 inch through
s. A C is set on 70 run through an external thermostat with sensor in bud canopy.
Keeps grow room at 78 and 59 percent. Portable ac short cycles.
Don’t know how long it will last. Trying to grow in summer heat and humidity.

Unless your gonna add a mini split or have a way to use a window unit id say your doing pretty good temp wise especially in an attic. Maybe just shop around for another portable ac of the same kind in case that one goes out, you can usually find them used on marketplace.

Can you reduce the short cycling and still achieve proper temps by running the unit on a lower fan speed setting?

Inkbird temperature controllers have a delay that will prevent rotor lock. So you can set it to say 5 minutes and the AC won't be powered back up until it has been off for the set point.

Put an ink bird on it running great set target at 76 with 3 differential works great.
steady temps 73-79 55 percent humidity house at 79
