Grow Tube - Part Deux

A few more days of maturity, not long to go now. Day 48 of 12/12.
Main main cola looks to be coming in at 7-10 inches. Unless the lower bud makes a surge in the last days, in which case it could be a foot. 7 inches looks a bit too big for a mason jar cure. Shit, going to have to buy some glass thing that will take it. Could be worse problems, I suppose.
Harvest log opened over on the harvest forum. Same info will be presented here. Seemed like a good idea for any harvest masters that might have advice.
Pic of the bud. Still pretty white. Pink is this strain's maturity color. There's a little, but I want more.

That main cola is really swelling. My optimism has jumped around, but getting a 1/2 oz dry off that top seems pretty realistic
Plant is getting a nice blue white color. The vendor has a site for grow logs, which are real handy for gauging the strains progress. Seem to be tracking right on target
The lower buds are much fluffier and still maturing. That is where I think my yield is going to make or break. If they fill out like I hope, then should have over an oz dry in the end.

Things are really popping now. Had a bunch of pistil hairs turn in the last day. Literally overnight I'd say a good 10-15% of the cola hairs went brown reddish. Plainly maturity is beginning to get close. Nerves are are a popping. Don't want to got to far or to soon. Trics get checked tomorrow.
So, I guess look at the whole plant now. No telling when the main cola is coming off.

so i was getting nervous that the main cola was going to over ripen on me - tric check!
and what do i see? lots of clear trics - a few cloudy but a lot of clears - the chop is still some days out
i hope to try to get some tric pix - today just was happy to scope it out by eye - pix may not work out - pretty fussy focus with loupe
pix today is a few steps back - show plant in the bigger picture - darker cola color had me a bit fooled but the trics don't lie(i hope)

Well, time to deliver on some trics pix. Of course, this turned out to be a bitchy chore. Focus/lighting is not easy, sigh.
I did manage to get 1 ok picture. This is at full size, so takes up a lot of real estate. Best focus is down low in the middle, a few trics in reasonable focus. Hope to get better with some practice

Day 55 of 12/12. Damm it's hard to believe, just a little ways to harvest.
Bud pic with camera flash instead of the 2700k cfl's. Much truer color. Upper fans are really losing color fast. And the main cola is still swelling. Think it's almost 4 inches wide, have to measure that.
Tric pix follows - not the best - it's a bitch to the focus right with a jewelers loupe. Trics look whiter. Tomorrow, out of the tube and eye check with loupe. I would like to try to get a 'up high' as much as possible with nl#5. so main cola, enjoy every day like its your last - BAHAHAHA!

That is exactly where I was going to go, a trashcan grow. The only thing I didn't like was the height, all metal trashcans I could find(that were reasonably priced) would go maybe 28-30 inches tall.
So I basically built a custom trashcan, got the height of 38 inches that I wanted.

Day 56 of 12/12. I thought I'd be harvesting away now. I could, but my tric exam showed me I'd be making a big mistake if i did. Tons of clear trics. Couldn't find a cloudy tric at all. But I did see something almost as interesting, a few trics with color. Might have been a bit red or purple, but saw a few colored ones.
Pictures are a bit better. Photography is something I'm still learning on, but the pics are a notch up on what I've done before. the tric pic has the best focus near the center, and slightly to the left.

Thnks for the look and the good vibes fenderbender, all the good thoughts seemed to have helped(in my mind anyways).
Looked in on plant this AM. Another big change in color, shit load of pistils went brown. I went through this before, and convinced myself it had ripened on me overnight. So I haul it out of the tube, tric check it again. No f'ing change. I think this plant wants to give me a coronary.
Anyhow, here's the latest pic in the tube. Bud getting a lot of brown.
