GrowBox Setup

OMG its nearly done this little growbox ive made and put together is just a experiment box for abt 3-6 months until my 600w HPS system is built and setup

Im only planning on doing 1 plant at a time i think as space is very tight maybe able to push 2 in the depending on which training method i choose to practice with the plant.

Size:

21" H, 16" W, 12" D

Venting:

4 x 120mm pc fans using to extract heat
Once i decide where to put it there will also be a passive intake hole for the fans to pull air through the growbox (Fingers Crossed)

Lighting:

Atm inside i have 6 wired and fixed fittings currently equipped with 18w bulbs at 1000 lumens a bulb ( reason for these is they were 15p each sorry bargains get the better of me )

I have another 4 fittings here so if heat is no a problem later on i can add some more lights to the grow.

Will be using 2700k colour temperature throughout due to now willing to pay £8 for each 6000k+ bulbs not worth it

Reflective:

Will be buying some diamond mylar reflection sheeting and will cover the whole inside plus the door .

Nutes:

Since it justa little experiment i will nto be going mad so ill just use a basic Canna Vega, Canna Flower nutrient some PH down and maybe if i later decide a Bud Booster

Gadgets:

Digital Humidity and Temperature Reader
PPM meter ( will be later on tho ill use a cheap standard fish tank ph kit for now )
Ona Gel ( will us elater on to control the smell if its to much as i dont think the fans will be able to pull through a filter )

Soil:

COCO All-MIX
It consists of 20% sphagnum peat moss, 35% garden peat, 10% high quality organic BIOBIZZ Worm-Humus , 30% perlite and 5% Pre-Mix.

Seeds:

ATM i have these 2 seeds which i was given havent a clue what they are or if they will work but worth a shot if they dont work or after they finish ill either do White Rhino, Snow White or Papaya

I was thinking either a miny scrog, LST i did want to practice topping for 2-4 main colas but i think my height may be a problem and thanks alot

Mate if you read ull see i state its just a experiment whilst the 600w HPS system is being built and prepped, second of all you can veg and flower in 2700k kelvin but its not suggested u do so cause they stretch more. CFL grows are meant to be cheap so how do you justify spending £8x6= £45 just for the light bulbs no thanks, first of all ive watched and read many journal hense i got my ideas for this and my 600w HPS system. If people can grow in PC Case Why The Fuck Cant I Grow in this as this is a bigger space??????

Im wiling to take crucial and decent criticism and advice by anyone but your opinion is nothing but utter crap and useless to me everything u stated ive answered above yet you ask them and give me pointless facts which i know about

I keep hearing that it's hard to find 6500k bulbs in the UK, I need to stock up and ship 'em over the pond myself! Frenzied, i'm ALL about experiments, and with a 600w HPS grow on the way, enjoy your CFL grow while it lasts! Might even think about eventually investing in 6500k lights and just use them for veg, and you could maybe finish them off under the HPS? Haha, enjoy your grows, mate! Keep your thumbs green!

Well i find some 6500k for £5.50 each but there crap with only 1000 lumens so i may buy i may not if i do ill do 3 soft light and 3 6500k then which to 6-8 2700k when flowering. The 600w going to be a while due to funds id say im building more and more every month on it its going to be either a 3ftx3ftx6ft scrog or 3ftx3ft6ft of 4-6 plants topped with 4 main colas, so atm im jut going to play about with this one i know i wont gain much weight from it and space is small but ill take any training possible so when i get this main one set up i dont screw it up.

You can find the daylight bulbs here in UK if u look about but they have to be ordered online and there usually £9+ for decent ones hense why £5.50 only gets you 1000 lumens

Only query atm is i need to find a pot to grow in thats slightly less depth but is more square and rectangle so it doesnt lack space for roots to grow but reduces height of plant a little to help with my cabinets height restriction any ideas people?

I would go to the local megastore, get some plastic tupperware or something similar that fits your needs, seeing as they have TONS of sizes to choose from, most being wider than deep. You could just grow 12/12 from seed, too. That always produces a little plant, especially seeing as you're using 2700k to veg, I don't know if you're going to have too many issues with height. You said your cabinet is almost 2 feet (21") and I've seen plenty of little plants that were fully flowered and no more than 18 inches tall. Just top and LST to control height if you think it's geting out of hand. Keep us posted

Very nice and thanks for advice, i was lookin about and for £8.50 each on a deal i managed to find 3 x 20w daylight bulbs 1535 lumens each so ill be ordering 3 of them to have a mix spectrum of soft light x3 18w's and daylight x 3 20w's

Ive had my little cab on now for a good few hours with fans on and its very cool if anything its to cool maybe we'll find out exact temps once my gear arrives, and im going to grow papaya feminized in here i think as there height is short and im curious to what these are like

Now its a waiting game just ordered the following things to finish mini cab and get started
