I grew for 2 years in my dorm, however i didn't have a cleaning lady come in every week. The only reason I could do it is because no one who worked for the school ever came in to my room for any reason, unless we requested maintenance (which of course we never did). If that cleaning lady notices whats going on you bet your ass some type of authority will come knocking at your door. whether it be from the school or an actual cop, I'm sure neither will appreciate it.
This is probably been said over and over again but it's the most important thing to remember: Never, ever, ever, tell anyone that you are growing. Also, never invite anyone over to your dorm room, they'll figure it out. Once one person knows the whole school knows.

Wow Dude, I must have missed the part about growing in dorm. I am going to help you all the way through. You cannot risk getting caught. And i have many many ways of stealth, and trickery to get around these kinda things.
Like mentioned before, TELL NO ONE, especially in this situation. There are 2 of you, so make a pact!!! NOT your best friends, not people who you'll think you'll never see again......Simply no one. How can you trust someone else not to say anything, when you yourself can't be trusted to keep it a secret? Just sayin.
I would like Advance pictures of your aleged growing space, materials available to you ie: cabinet making materials, electrical, CFL lights, sealants. I will help you design a lockable, stealth cabinet. Light tight, virtually silent in operation, and minimal to no smell built in carbon filter. Also I will go over stratagies for stealth . Perhaps a simple monitoring web cam set to record on movement could be implimented. With a program that could allow you remote login to your camera when away from dorm. ALL EASY STUFF!
Because your in Dorm, your small operation, has BIG OPERATION risks. I'm sure you've concidered these things. However, don't be paranoid about things , just be real smart. Think all angles through and have a plan of action set in case somethings goes wrong. Your cleaning ladys are a cause for concern. Get to know them, what they do. when they come. One simple way to go undetected is simple. Make sure you're home the full 12 hours your lights are on (12/12 from seed grows only) best way to do that? Set your light timer to come on 2 hours before you go to bed. Have em on all night while you sleep. no one should be commin in while your sleepin. Then OFF when you typically leave the house. THIS HELPS ALOT. Adjust acrodingly to fit your full 12 hours of light in.

You read my mind mate
i`ve taken all this in consideration and come to basically the same solutions I mentioned this in one of the first posts, i put this "plan" together over the summer and gave it a lot of thought, thought about all the angles that i could. A few of the solutions:
- made a "pact" as you say with my roomie so neither would talk and so far he hasn`t. And i added fear to the mix to make sure he wouldn`t spill (i explained to him how much ass rape sucks and how bad prison food is. It got through to the wimpy chubby bastard
lol). I myself only told a friend who i have and am doing "buisness" with. The man is not the school boy type if you know what i mean and i talked to him for advice. - As far as the setup goes, the added power consumption will not exceed what i`m allowed per month, i`ve subtly checked for that. I will move the dresser i`ll be using to the corner of the room so that the back of the closet and the corner make a triangle (it will be clearer once i put some more pics up). This will mask the carbon filter coming out the back and the wiring as well. The plug-in is a foot away from where the set up will be and only one or 2 cords will be visible.
- Once the plant goes into flowering, it will be easy to watch over it, my plan was exactly what you suggested. Vegging is a little more difficult but still no bigie. What you people must understand is that not even the police have the authority to enter dorm rooms and short of the administrator, no one can come in w\o permission, nor do they. Cops don`t come in or even around the dorm, and we are left to our own peace, has always been like that. So even if me or the roomie aren`t always in the room, no one will come in regardless. And as a bonus, we have a hallway that ends in a door to which only me and the other guy have a key to how awesome is that?
- I`m counting on the cleaning ladies not noticing the grow(i plan on making it utterly inconspicuous) but i also have the option of telling them "Thanks, but no cleaning today, i vacuumed myself last night" or "Me and the roomie are really messy bastards so we`re gonna take care of cleaning ourselves from now on cause once a week just isn`t cutting it any more". Might i say the second one is very plausible as well
I`ll go about taking some pics now and upload them soon. Mind you i`ll use my 2MP phone camera so they won`t be crappy but maybe not excelent either
Materials i`m gonna use
- 3 26W CFLs, will be adding gradually untill i have 6.
- 2 120mm fans
- alluminum foil (i don`t have mylar here and i`m pending between using the reverse side of al. foil or just white paper)
- DIY carbon filter. Using activated carbon from an air purifier and the tube from a portable air conditioner mainly
- Grow space -> 60x42x200cm cabinet with removable shelves up to abt a third of the height. It`s 2 doors, but with no lock.
Any other info you guys would like to know about?

So the wiring will be in the gap between the back of the cabinet and the 2 walls, the carbon filter will come out the back and go upwards, also concealed. You can also see where the plug-in is. One of the ics shows the hallway from inside the room, the other is from the hallway into the room. Like i said, door in between and there aren`t any doubles for these keys

Hey man, I decided to change the mailing format due to cost and discreteness.
Here we have a Letter, inside the letter are a few pages on How to maintain Spark Plugs for an older honda Engine.
LOL, folded it's pretth thick, thick enough to discuise 12 seeds layed out, 2 rows of 6. between dry papertowel, Smoothly wrapped in tin foil, 1 layer. And placed in the middle between page 1 and 2.
Let me know if all this info is right? ASAP and then I'll delete this picture.

TinFoil and CFL's are great together. Go for it. It's only risky when using HPS or MH lights.

forgot to post in the last one too.. I jsut finished up my first grow, and definitely learned a lot. first of all, people will most likely find out. unless you never have friends over, which most college students do. I know i do lol.
I live in an apartment close to campus, and just finished one plant in a closet. I'm legal to grow though, so its kind of a different story. I dont sell, so the worst that would probably happen is me gettin kicked out of the apartment, and I could care less lol.
but yea everytime someone would come over, they were bound to see a bit of light coming from the closet, and most of the time the immediate response was "oh nice grow op man". its college..people will know.
and come harvest time, wooo eeeh! luckily it didnt reek up the whole apartment hallway, but my place definitely smelled nice lol. I also have pretty chill neighbors who I smoke with most of them, and I don't cause any trouble or draw attention.
might be a good idea to wait a bit til you gotta place. then you can bud out multiple plants under hps and actually get quality.

that wardrobe/closet thing is very similar to what I used. I would try to move it as far away from the outside hallway and maybe close to a window (for ventilation and airing out the room). I had also used some small 50w hps security lights to flower along with the cfls, however I had serious heat issues. those small closets heat up fast and since the wardrobe was school property i wasn't able cut any ventilation holes.
