Growing in a bin

Man that is an awfully big pot to grow one plant you would be fine with a 5-10 gallon pot/grow bag. you could grow under that cfl for vegative stage but i would recomend getting a High pressure sodium light for budding here a link so you have an idea of what they look like and prices.

You can keep the light at the same posistion and raise/lower the plants as needed by putting something under them inside the bin. I would use a fluorescent light and attach it to the lid. Also, you should put reflective mylar inside the bin to get all you can out of your light, it will also block light from going out, making your bin not glow in the dark.

it would work for a big plant I think with proper venting heat wouldn't be an issue, but obviously if you are growing that security or privacy is an issue, I wouldn't go HPS but fluoros for sure with just one plant HPS is a WASTE!!!!!!!!! so is all that extra money on venting the heat for just one plant.
